High-throughput computational X-ray absorption spectroscopy
X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) is a widely-used materials characterization technique. In this work we present a database of computed XAS spectra, using the Green's formulation of the multiple scattering theory implemented in the FEFF code. With more

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Efficient table-top dual-wavelength beamline for ultrafast transient absorption spectroscopy in the soft X-ray region. [PDF]
We present a table-top beamline providing a soft X-ray supercontinuum extending up to 370 eV from high-order harmonic generation with sub-13 fs 1300 nm driving pulses and simultaneous production of sub-5 fs pulses centered at 800 nm. Optimization of high

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Modern x-ray spectral methods in the study of the electronic structure of actinide compounds: Uranium oxide UO2 as an example [PDF]
Fine X-ray photo electron spectral (XPS) structure of uranium dioxide UO2 in the binding energy (BE) range 0-~č40 eV was associated mostly with the electrons of the outer (OVMO) (0-15 eV BE) and inner (IVMO) (15-40 eV BE) valence molecular orbitals ...
