Dynamic Precipitation during High‐Pressure Torsion of a Magnesium–Manganese Alloy
An ultrafine‐grained alloy is produced by high‐pressure torsion of solutionized Mg–1.35 wt% Mn. Precipitation of nanometer‐scale Mn particles during deformation provides pinning sites. This prevents the formation of a bimodal grain structure and results in a finer grain size than for pure Mg.

An Inkjet‐Printed Platinum‐Based Temperature Sensing Element on Polyimide Substrates
An inkjet‐printed, meander‐structured, nanoparticle platinum‐based resistive temperature sensors on polyimide substrates are demonstrated as proof‐of‐concept. Optimized sintering at 250°C enables stable conductive structures. The Pt100‐ and Pt1000‐type sensors exhibit linear resistance–temperature characteristics with stable TCR in the 20°C–80°C range,

Strong Correlation between Noise Features at Low Frequency and the KilohertzQuasi-Periodic Oscillations in the X-Ray Binary 4U 1728–34 [PDF]
We study the timing properties of the low-mass X-ray binary 4U 1728-34 using recently released data from the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer. This binary, like many others with accreting neutron stars, is known to exhibit strong quasi-periodic oscillations ...

PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...

Detection of Multiple X-Ray Quasi-periodic Oscillations in IGR J19294+1816 with Insight-HXMT
We report the timing results with Insight-HXMT observations of X-ray binary IGR J19294+1816 during its 2019 type I outburst at the decline phase shortly following its peak.

Neutron star atmosphere composition: the quiescent, low‐mass X‐ray binary in the globular cluster M28 [PDF]
Using deep Chandra observations of the globular cluster M28, we study the quiescent X-ray emission of a neutron star in a low-mass X-ray binary in order to constrain the chemical composition of the neutron star atmosphere and the equation of state of ...

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

XMM-Newton View of Pulsating Iron Fluorescent Emission from Centaurus X-3
Centaurus X–3 (Cen X–3) is a bright, high-mass X-ray binary pulsar. We present a pulse phase–resolved X-ray spectral analysis of data from an archival XMM-Newton observation of Cen X–3 taken during the high state of the source.

Hydrogen-triggered X-Ray Bursts from SAX J1808.4−3658? The Onset of Nuclear Burning
We present a study of weak, thermonuclear X-ray bursts from the accreting millisecond X-ray pulsar SAX J1808.4−3658. We focus on a burst observed with the Neutron Star Interior Composition Explorer on 2019 August 9, and describe a similar burst observed ...
