Filling quantification of capillary target using X-Ray radiography and X-Ray fluorescence.

open access: yese-Journal of Nondestructive Testing
As part of the simulation program, the Laser Mégajoule (LMJ) was created to allow the reproduction of the physical conditions of nuclear fusion by heating and compressing matter with laser. This laser is focused on a millimeter-sized target.

Proteasomal degradation of intracellularly expressed Amblyomin‐X limits suicide gene therapy potential in melanoma cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

Optimizing photoactivation of PA‐mCherry for optical pooled CRISPR screens

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Photoactivatable PA‐mCherry finds widespread use to optically tag individual cells. However, confocal 405 nm UV laser‐scanning (normal scan) is much less efficient than widefield UV illumination, limiting the use of PA‐mCherry on confocal instruments. We remedy this limitation by reporting that rapid and repeated confocal scanning with a low‐intensity,

Experimental Demonstration of X-Ray Fluorescence CT Using a Spatially Distributed Multi-Beam X-Ray Source

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2020
X-ray fluorescence computed tomography (XFCT) is a high-sensitivity imaging modality for high-atomic elements such as gadolinium (Gd) or gold (Au). In order to improve the contrast of x-ray fluorescence (XRF) signals in the raw projection data, common ...

X-ray fluorescence with synchrotron radiation [PDF]

open access: yesUltramicroscopy, 1988
The use of synchrotron radiation for X-ray fluorescence has several advantages over the use of other conventional X-ray sources. The principles of synchrotron radiation and methods for applying synchrotron radiation to the X-ray fluorescence measurements of trace elements are discussed.

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Hyperactive ice‐binding proteins stabilize cell membranes and improve resistance to dehydration stress in Caenorhabditis elegans

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Correlative single-cell hard X-ray computed tomography and X-ray fluorescence imaging

open access: yesCommunications Biology
X-ray computed tomography (XCT) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) imaging are two non-invasive imaging techniques to study cellular structures and chemical element distributions, respectively.
