X-ray luminescence of Sr0.925–xBaxEu0.075F2.075 nanopowders

open access: yesKondensirovannye sredy i mezhfaznye granitsy = Condensed Matter and Interphases
We synthesized powders of single-phase solid solutions Sr0.925–xBaxEu0.075F2.075 (x = 0.00, 0.20, 0.25, 0.30, 0.35 and 0.40) by a precipitation technique from nitrate aqueous solutions. The lattice parameters increase linearly as the barium content increases.

Development of Focused X-ray Luminescence Compute Tomography Imaging [PDF]

open access: yes
X-ray luminescence is produced when contrast agents absorb energy from X-ray photons and release a portion of that energy by emitting photons in the visible and near-infrared range. X-ray luminescence computed tomography (XLCT) was introduced in the past

X-ray luminescence and characteristics of potassium-doped cesium iodide film [PDF]

open access: yes
This study delves into the structural and luminescent properties of un-doped and potassium (K) doped cesium iodide (CsI) thin films fabricated by thermal vacuum co-evaporation. These films were characterized by aspects of X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns,

A Radioresistant‐Tumor‐Targeted Nanoparticle for X‐Ray‐Controlled Nitric Oxide Release to Potentiate Radiotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The PBTN targets GRP78 and, upon X‐ray irradiation, generates ONOO− to induce immunogenic cell death, thereby activating CD8+ T cells and establishing a systemic antitumor immune response. ABSTRACT Nitric oxide (NO) treated radioresistant tumors by relieving hypoxia and blocking DNA repair, but its nonselective toxicity has precluded therapeutic use ...

Effect of Alkyl Chain Length on the Bandgap, Ferroelectric, and Photoelectric Properties of Lead‐Based Molecular Ferroelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops a novel 2D molecular ferroelectric [C6N2H18]PbI4 with polarization enhanced photovoltaics. It systematically investigates the effect of alkylamine spacer cation chain lengths on the band gap, ferroelectric, and photoelectric properties, offering new design strategies.

Mitochondria and Neuromast Tagging With Fluorescent Gallium‐Triapine Analogues: In Cellulo MP FLIM and Zebrafish Live Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorescent BODIPY‐conjugated thiosemicarbazone ligands and their Ga(III), In(III), and Fe(III) complexes, inspired by Triapine, are developed as theranostic agents. Multiphoton FLIM and confocal microscopy in cancer cells and zebrafish reveal real‐time uptake, mitochondrial localisation, and whilst spectroscopic assays indicated preserved complex ...

Inhibition of SIRT7 Overcomes Radioresistance in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors by Reactivating MEN1 Expression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors frequently silence MEN1 through epigenetic mechanisms. Here, SIRT7 recruits DNMT1 to the MEN1 promoter, drives hypermethylation, and enhances DNA repair. Inhibiting SIRT7 restores MEN1, reduces MRN complex abundance, impairs double‐strand break repair, and sensitizes PanNET models to radiation, supporting SIRT7 as a ...

Radiotherapy Enhances the Oncolytic Efficacy of the Novel Oncolytic Herpesvirus VG161 and Amplifies Its Antitumor Immunity in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RT promotes VG161 replication in BC and its immunostimulatory transgenes expression, which is mediated by the upregulation of GADD34 and HVEM caused by RT. The combination therapy with VG161 and RT increases the abundances of tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes and elicits potent systemic antitumor immunity, thereby effectively inhibiting local tumors and ...
