The Lobster Eye Imager for Astronomy (LEIA) is the pathfinder of the wide-field X-ray telescope used in the Einstein Probe mission. In this study, we present an image of the Virgo Cluster taken by LEIA in the 0.5–4.5 keV band with an exposure time of ∼17.

A novel soft robotic propeller overcomes traditional efficiency‐flexibility tradeoffs via a hybrid pneumatic‐cable actuation strategy. This architecture enables active stiffness modulation with dual‐mode locomotion: tunable biomimetic swimming and earthworm‐inspired wriggling for confined spaces.

A Comprehensive Comparison of Spin-up and Spin-down Episodes of 4U 1538-522 Observed with NuSTAR
4U 1538-522 is a persistent high-mass X-ray binary that exhibits secular spin evolution. In 2019, it underwent a torque reversal from spinning up to spinning down.

InFOCμS Hard X-ray Imaging Telescope [PDF]
InFOCμS is a new generation balloon-borne hard X-ray telescope with focusing optics and spectroscopy. We had a successful 22.5-hour flight from Fort Sumner, NM on September 16,17, 2004. In this paper, we present the performance of the hard X-ray telescope, which consists of a depth-graded platinum/carbon multilayer mirror and a CdZnTe detector.

The ORCA‐TWIN qCMOS Experiment I. Science Case and Commissioning at Calar Alto Observatory
ABSTRACT We describe a pilot study to explore a new generation of fast and low noise CMOS image sensors for time domain astronomy, using two remote telescopes with a baseline of 1635 km. The experiment involves direct imaging with novel qCMOS image sensor technology that combines fast readout with sub‐electron readout noise.
