Eight Years of Light from ASASSN-15oi: Toward Understanding the Late-time Evolution of TDEs
We present results from an extensive follow-up campaign of the tidal disruption event (TDE) ASASSN-15oi spanning δt ∼ 10–3000 days, offering an unprecedented window into the multiwavelength properties of a TDE during its first ≈8 yr of evolution. ASASSN-

Populations of Transient Galactic Bulge X-Ray Sources
Starting in 1999, the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) has monitored the central bulge region of the Galaxy with the Proportional Counter Array (PCA), resolving about 50 binary X-ray sources, including 18 sources discovered by RXTE and BeppoSAX. The accretion rates that RXTE observed from these sources ranged from highs approaching Eddington limits ...

A-STAR: The All-Sky Transient Astrophysics Reporter
The small mission A-STAR (All-Sky Transient Astrophysics Reporter) aims to locate the X-ray counterparts to ALIGO and other gravitational wave detector sources, to study the poorly-understood low luminosity gamma-ray bursts, and to find a wide variety of

Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

XMM-Newton observations of unidentified INTEGRAL/IBIS sources
About 30% of the sources in the 4th INTEGRAL-IBIS catalogue are unidentified in that they lack an optical counterpart. To be able to classify them, X-ray observations are of crucial importance as they can place tighter constraints on the high energy ...

Time‐Dependent Oxidation and Scale Evolution of a Wrought Co/Ni‐Based Superalloy
This study shows how a new wrought Co/Ni‐based superalloy resists oxidation at 800 ∘$^\circ$C. The oxide scale changes from rough, fast‐growing spinel to a dense, protective chromia–alumina layer. Atom probe analysis reveals tiny refractory‐rich bubbles at the interface that mark the transition to long‐term, diffusion‐controlled protection ...

The Discovery of Rapid Polarization Angle Variation during the 2022 Outburst of XTE J1701-462
The geometry of the Comptonization corona in neutron star low-mass X-ray binaries is still unclear. We conducted time-resolved polarimetric analysis of the archival observations of XTE J1701–462 obtained with the Imaging X-ray Polarimeter Explorer during

Numerical Exploration of Thermal Shock Resistance in MgO–C Refractories
A mesostructure‐resolved numerical framework is developed to evaluate the thermal shock resistance of MgO–C refractories. By modeling interface debonding under rapid temperature changes and introducing a modified thermal shock parameter that accounts for mesocracks, the study shows how graphite content and aggregate size influence thermal shock ...
