Compressive Strain Limit of Aged API-X100 Linepipe

Volume 3: Pipeline and Riser Technology, 2009
In compressive strain capacity, high deformable linepipe steel, which is able to delay or evade local buckling, is needed. The objective of this paper is to present the results of an experimental and a finite-element investigation into the behavior of pipes subjected to bending behavior of aged API-X100 linepipe.

Crack Tip Opening Displacement of X100 SAWL Pipe

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
The fracture toughness of different zones of X100 SAWL pipe was studied by three-point bend test method under different temperature. At the same temperature, the crack propagation resistance and tear modulus of X100 SAWL pipe distributed as: base metal>HAZ>weld bead, and the distribution of the CTOD value of X100 SAWL pipe is :base metal >weld

Tensile Strain Capacity of X80 and X100 Welds

Volume 6: Materials Technology; Polar and Arctic Sciences and Technology; Petroleum Technology Symposium, 2012
High-strength pipelines (API 5L grade X70 and above) provide viable economic options for large-diameter and high-pressure transmission of energy products. To facilitate the understanding and potential use of high-strength pipelines, the tensile strain capacity (TSC) of X80 and X100 girth welds was evaluated through a series of mechanical tests and ...

Refined Crystal Structures of Glucoamylase from Aspergillus awamori var. X100

Journal of Molecular Biology, 1994
The refined crystal structures of a proteolytic fragment of glucoamylase from Aspergillus awamori var. X100 have been determined at pH 6 and 4 to a resolution of 2.2 A and 2.4 A, respectively. The models include the equivalent of residues 1 to 471 of glucoamylase from Aspergillus niger and a complete interpretation of the solvent structure.

Characterization of fiber laser welds in X100 pipeline steel

Materials & Design, 2009
Recent developments in steel grades for pipeline applications have lead to new high strength grades, such as API5L-X100. Higher strength enables the use of thinner walled pipe, with greater operating pressures and reduced overall costs. The base material presents good toughness values; however there are still limitations regarding the weldability of ...

Microstructure and Properties of X100 High Strength Pipeline Steel

Materials Science Forum, 2015
In order to study the effect of welding process on the microstructure and properties of weld joint of X100 pipeline steel, GMAW was used to prepare the weld joint with low-carbon high manganese-molybdenum-nickel flux cored welding wire. SEM and XRD were used to analyze the microstructure and phase morphology of HAZ and weld metal.

Development of X100 Linepipe Steel With High Deformation Capacity

2008 7th International Pipeline Conference, Volume 3, 2008
Recent linepipe steel is required to have enough deformation capacity through longitudinal direction at severe environments such as permafrost or seismic region, even though after anti-corrosion coating treatment in pipe. Under this background, the development of X100 linepipe steels with high strain aging resistance was tried.
