Ductile Cracking Evaluation of X80/X100 High Strength Linepipes
2004 International Pipeline Conference, Volumes 1, 2, and 3, 2004The ductile cracking behavior of girth weld joints, in X80 and X100 grade linepipe, was investigated using single edge notched (SENT) specimens, notched round bar (NRB) specimens and wide plate (WP) specimens. FE analyses were carried out to evaluate critical conditions for ductile cracking at the notch tip.

Development of X100 on Coil and First Weldability Assessment
2010 8th International Pipeline Conference, Volume 2, 2010The development of X100, 13mm thick, on coil at ArcelorMittal is on schedule. Different steel compositions grouped in different categories A, C, D with various alloying contents and carbon equivalents have been tested by means of appropriate laboratory simulations.

Mechanical metallurgy on Columbia gas X100 experimental pipe
This study evaluates the material properties of an X100 pipeline steel extracted from an experimental transmission pipeline section placed into service in the 1960s. The purpose is to compare these properties with current X100 steel standards. Comprehensive chemical characterization, microstructure analysis, and a series of mechanical tests—including ...Ryan White +5 more

The Instability of Silica Sol in Concentrated Solutions of Triton X100
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1998An excess of nonionic surfactant, Triton X100, in the continuous phase of silica sol has strong consequences on the stability of silica dispersions. Beyond full coverage, the surfactant may give rise to the formation of either fractal or dense aggregates. The structure of aggregates has been studied through SAXS. It has been demonstrated that hydration
