Effect of Inclusion on Pitting Corrosion of X80 Pipeline Steel
Advanced Materials Research, 2015The influence of inclusion on pitting corrosion of X80 pipeline steel was investigated by using electrochemical test and atomic force microscope. The results indicated that corrosion potential of X80 pipeline steel sample with higher grade inclusion was lower, and decreased significantly with chloride ion concentration increasing.

Microstructure characteristics and mechanical properties of X80 pipeline steels
Journal of Wuhan University of Technology-Mater. Sci. Ed., 2012The relation between microstructure characteristics and mechanical properties of X80 pipeline steels was investigated using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, etc. It is shown that the structure consists of polygonal ferrite (PF), quasi-polygonal ferrite (QPF), acicular ferrite (AF), and granular bainitic ferrite (GF).

Passivation process of X80 pipeline steel in bicarbonate solutions
International Journal of Minerals, Metallurgy, and Materials, 2011The passivation process of X80 pipeline steel in bicarbonate solutions was investigated using potentiodynamic, dynamic electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (DEIS), and Mott-Schottky measurements. The results show that the shape of polarization curves changes with HCO 3 − concentration. The critical

Constitutive relationship of hot deformation of X80 pipeline steel
2010 International Conference on Mechanic Automation and Control Engineering, 2010In order to realize numerical simulation of hot rolling and establish the hot deformation process parameters for X80 pipeline steel, the flow stress behavior of X80 pipeline steel during hot deformation was investigated in the temperature range of 900–1100°C and strain rate of 0.01–1s−1 on Gleeble-3500 thermo-simulation machine.

Development mechanism of internal local corrosion of X80 pipeline steel
Journal of Materials Science & Technology, 2020Abstract The occurrence and development mechanism of internal local corrosion has always been a controversial topic, and especially under flow conditions. In this paper, an improved high shear force loop was experimentally used, and local flow field is induced by simulating corrosion defects on the surface of X80 pipeline steel specimens.

THE SOFTENING BEHAVIOR OF HIGHER NIOUBIUM CONTENT X80 PIPELINE STEEL
International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2009In this paper, the softening behavior of higher Nb content X80 pipeline steel was investigated by means of the stress relaxation curve. Deformed above 1050°C, the softening of the steel is fast and controlled by static recrystallization. Although the softening at 1000°C is slower obviously, it was also controlled by static recrystallization, no more ...

Recommendations on X80 steel for the design of hydrogen gas transmission pipelines
International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 2012Abstract By limiting the pipes thickness necessary to sustain high pressure, high-strength steels could prove economically relevant for transmitting large gas quantities in pipelines on long distance. Up to now, the existing hydrogen pipelines have used lower-strength steels to avoid any hydrogen embrittlement.

Study on AC Corrosion on Cathodically Protected Pipeline of X80 Steel
CORROSION 2014, 2014Abstract Alternating current (AC) induced-corrosion on cathodically protected pipeline of X80 steel was studied by electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS). Experiments show that: EIS curves contain two time constants which represent high-frequency capacitance arc and low-frequency inductive loop, respectively.
