Study on Coercivity-Stress Relationship of X80 Steel under Biaxial Stress

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2022
Buried pipelines are prone to deformation under surface displacement, pressure occupation, and/or other actions, resulting in stress concentration. Conducting regular stress detection is an important approach to reducing pipeline accidents.

Effect of Glutaraldehyde on Corrosion of X80 Pipeline Steel [PDF]

open access: yesCoatings, 2021
Glutaraldehyde (GA) is widely employed as a biocide to control microbiologically influenced corrosion in oil fields and industrial water treatment. It might be corrosive to metal. In this study, the effect of glutaraldehyde on the corrosion behavior of X80 pipeline steel was investigated using electrochemical measurement, weight-loss tests and scanning

Study on anisotropy of B+F dual-phase X80 pipeline steel under slow strain tensile in simulated seawater

open access: yesJournal of Hebei University of Science and Technology, 2020
In order to study the effect of anisotropy on the safe service of B+F dual-phase X80 pipeline steel, the slow strain tensile and polarization behaviors of hot rolled ferrite + bainite dual-phase X80 pipeline steel at three angles(0°, 45° and 90°) with ...

Ductile Fracture Prediction of X80 Pipeline Steel Using Void Growth Model

open access: yesMetals, 2022
In this study, the Void Growth Model (VGM) is employed to predict the ductile fracture of X80 pipeline steel. The X80 pipeline tends to be applied in challenging scenarios, such as extremely deep water and long-distance pipelines, which might cause a ...

Measurements by SKPFM and Finite‐Element Modeling of Hydrogen Atom Diffusion and Distribution in Ferrite and Bainite Contained in X80 Steel

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 94, Issue 6, June 2023., 2023
Herein, a new method is developed by combining scanning Kelvin probe force microscopy measurements with finite‐element modeling, studying the hydrogen atom diffusion and distribution in ferrite and bainite phases contained in X80 pipeline steel. The hydrogen atom concentrations in lattice and trap sites in the two phases are determined.

Precipitates in Nb and Nb–V Microalloyed X80 Pipeline Steel [PDF]

open access: yesMicroscopy and Microanalysis, 2013
AbstractPrecipitates in two X80 pipeline steels were studied by transmission electron microscopy equipped with an energy filtering system. The steels are microalloyed with niobium and niobium–vanadium (Nb–V), respectively, and produced by continuous hot rolling.

A new analytical method for calculating the strain of oil and gas pipeline under a normal fault dislocation

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 398-409, January 2023., 2023
A new analytic method for the buried pipeline crossing the normal fault based on the shape function. Abstract Oil and gas pipelines that go through an active normal fault often deform largely and cause serious disasters. On the basis of the beam theory of the elastic foundation and assuming a shape function for the deformed pipeline, a new analytical ...

Strain model and experimental study of elastic viscoplastic for crack-tip zone of X80 steel pipe

open access: yesJournal of Pipeline Science and Engineering, 2022
The mechanical state of the process zone at the crack-tip is one of the main factors that affect crack initiation and growth in the long-term safe operation of oil and gas pipelines. Many tests showed that the stress and strain fields in the fracture-tip

Research on Material Selection Method and Brittle Fracture Mechanism of High‐Pressure Pipeline

open access: yesShock and Vibration, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
Aiming at the problem of the brittle fracture of pressure pipeline, the elastic constraint structure is described by using members and engineering building structures, and the concept of elastic constraint is proposed. Through the stress field analysis of the pressure pipeline under internal pressure, it is found that the pressure pipeline under ...
