The Effect of Microstructure on Tensile Behaviour of X80 Microalloyed Steel
Volume 3: Materials and Joining, 2012A high degree of work hardening is desirable for steels to be employed in strain-based pipeline designs. In an effort to enhance work hardening characteristics, this study was conducted to determine the effect of thermal treatment on microstructural development and the subsequent relationship between microstructure and tensile behaviour of high ...

Effect of Inclusion on Pitting Corrosion of X80 Pipeline Steel
Advanced Materials Research, 2015The influence of inclusion on pitting corrosion of X80 pipeline steel was investigated by using electrochemical test and atomic force microscope. The results indicated that corrosion potential of X80 pipeline steel sample with higher grade inclusion was lower, and decreased significantly with chloride ion concentration increasing.

Formation of Martensite/Austenite (M/A) in X80 Linepipe Steel
Volume 3: Materials and Joining, 2012Linepipe steels are usually microalloyed with Nb to promote the formation of complex microstructures that lead to the required mechanical properties. In particular, Nb in solution affects significantly the austenite decomposition kinetics and the resulting microstructure.

Electrochemical behaviour of X80 pipeline steel with alumina coating
Surface Engineering, 2015X80 pipeline steel was firstly aluminised at a relative low temperature then treated by a microarc oxidation process. Electrochemical behaviour of X80 pipeline steel before and after the combined treatment was evaluated by electrochemical tests in different solution. Results show that ceramics coating composed of α-Al2O3 and γ-Al2O3 can be obtained on

Steel cleanness requirements for X65 to X80 electric resistance welded linepipe steels
Ironmaking & Steelmaking, 2003AbstractIn Australia, a large proportion of the gas pipelines traverse rural areas of low population density with considerable distances between population centres. As these pipelines transport non-sour gas, there have been considerable economic advantages to be gained from the use of thin walled, small diameter, high strength linepipe grades.

SH-CCT of High-Strain Pipeline Steel X80
Advanced Materials Research, 2012Simulated heat affected zone continuous cooling transformation curve was measured by means of Gleeble 3500 thermal simulator. According to the results of microstructure observation and hardness measurement, influence of cooling rates on the microstructure and hardness in coarse grain zone of high-strain pipeline steel X80 was studied.

Effect of Pipe Body Alloy on Weldability of X80 Steel
2015Effect of Mo, Ni, and Cr on impact property of pipe seam and heat-affected zone (HAZ) of X80 steel was investigated by thermal simulation test and butt welding test. The results showed that, there was an obvious relationship between strip’s composition and the toughness of weld and HAZ, the more content of Mo, Ni and less of Cr in the strip matrix, the
