Chaos Synchronization with Dynamic Filters: Two Way is Better Than One Way
Two chaotic systems which interact by mutually exchanging a signal built from their delayed internal variables, can synchronize. A third unit may be able to record and to manipulate the exchanged signal.

The spread of fire on a random multigraph
We study a model for the destruction of a random network by fire. Suppose that we are given a multigraph of minimum degree at least 2 having real-valued edge-lengths.

Sliding Mode Control of Two-Level Quantum Systems
This paper proposes a robust control method based on sliding mode design for two-level quantum systems with bounded uncertainties. An eigenstate of the two-level quantum system is identified as a sliding mode.

The Na2−nHn[Zr(Si2O7)]∙mH2O family of minerals and related compounds (n = 0–0.5; m = 0.1) consist of keldyshite, Na3H[Zr2(Si2O7)2], and parakeldyshite, Na2[Zr(Si2O7)], and synthetic Na2[Zr(Si2O7)]∙H2O.

Magnetometry with entangled atomic samples
We present a theory for the estimation of a scalar or a vector magnetic field by its influence on an ensemble of trapped spin polarized atoms. The atoms interact off-resonantly with a continuous laser field, and the measurement of the polarization ...

Intercalation of At‐211 between the layers of K‐ or Cs‐zirconium phosphate. The ion exchange behavior of K‐ and Cs‐derivatives of α‐zirconium phosphate, A‐ZrP, with the targeted alpha therapy (TAT) radionuclide 211At, as At+ and AtO+, has been investigated. The K‐ZrP shows strong affinity for both At+ and AtO+, ≥99% uptake.

Direct methods for matrix Sylvester and Lyapunov equations
We revisit the two standard dense methods for matrix Sylvester and Lyapunov equations: the Bartels-Stewart method for A1X+XA2+D=0 and Hammarling's method for AX+XAT+BBT=0 with A stable.

Finite GUE distribution with cut-off at a shock
We consider the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process with initial conditions generating a shock. The fluctuations of particle positions are asymptotically governed by the randomness around the two characteristic lines joining at the shock.
