Spatial distribution and drivers of throughfall beneath shrub canopies in a semi‐arid desert steppe

open access: yesWater and Environment Journal, Volume 37, Issue 3, Page 493-511, August 2023., 2023
Abstract The spatial distribution of water is mainly controlled by the vegetation canopy, which determines the partitioning of rainfall into interception, throughfall (TF) and stemflow. TF is known to be a critical component of hydrological and biogeochemical cycles.

Space‐Time Resource Integrated Optimization Method for Time‐of‐Day Division at Intersection Based on Multidimensional Traffic Flows

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
Based on the change trends of traffic flow in different controlled directions at an intersection, the space‐time resource integrated optimization method for TOD (time‐of‐day) division based on multidimensional traffic‐flow data is proposed in this paper.

Ligand‐to‐Metal Charge Transfer (LMCT) Photochemistry at 3d‐Metal Complexes: An Emerging Tool for Sustainable Organic Synthesis

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 14, Issue 19, October 10, 2022., 2022
Photocatalysis: The population of ligand‐to‐metal charge‐transfer (LMCT) excited states upon light irradiation of abundant and inexpensive 3d‐metal complexes represents an effective platform to access open‐shell intermediates of high synthetic value. This review provides guidelines for the utilization of this inner‐sphere reactivity, a comparison of ...

α‐Amino Radical Halogen Atom Transfer Agents for Metallaphotoredox‐Catalyzed Cross‐Electrophile Couplings of Distinct Organic Halides

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 15, Issue 15, August 5, 2022., 2022
Cross coupling: A practical dual Ni/photoredox catalyzed cross‐electrophile coupling of organic halides by employing readily available α‐amino radicals as halogen atom transfer agents is reported. Both coupling partners can be flexibly chosen as limiting reactant to forge 6 different types of C−C bond for a broad scope of applications (>70 examples ...

Exploring physician agency under demand‐side cost sharing—An experimental approach

open access: yesHealth Economics, Volume 31, Issue 6, Page 1202-1227, June 2022., 2022
Abstract The assumption of patient‐regarding physicians has been widely adopted in the health economics literature. Physicians' patient‐regarding preferences are often described as the concern for the health benefits of medical treatments, and thus closely related to the norms and ethics of the medical profession.

An Analysis of the Influencing Factors in the Establishment of the Overseas Agricultural Cooperation Zones under the Belt and Road Initiative Based on Logit Model

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
A total of 57 overseas agricultural cooperation zones have been selected from 68 countries along the Belt and Road and extended areas from 2006 to 2018 as samples, and the corresponding indexes of bilateral trade in agricultural products, agricultural resource endowments, labor resources, infrastructure, and economic freedom have been chosen for ...

Organocatalyzed Carbonylation of Alkyl Halides Driven by Visible Light

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 136, Issue 50, December 9, 2024.
A mild strategy for the carbonylation of alkyl halides with various nucleophiles driven by visible light has been developed. This metal‐free method is selective and produces diverse esters and amides in good to excellent yields. Additionally, it allows for full 13C isotopic incorporation.

Modular Synthesis of Heterobenzylic Amines via Carbonyl Azinylative Amination

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 136, Issue 42, October 14, 2024.
An indium metal‐mediated carbonyl azinylative amination (CAzA) reaction provides an operationally straightforward protocol for the multicomponent coupling carbonyls, amines and 2‐iodo azines to form α‐alkyl, α′‐2‐azinyl amines. This modular reaction displays a broad scope and only a metal reductant is needed to generate a reactive 2‐azinyl nucleophile.

AutoCrack: Deep Transformer With Pyramid Pooling for Autonomous Pavement Crack Identification

open access: yesApplied Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
A frequent problem with engineering constructions such as roads and buildings is surface cracks. The development of deep learning algorithms has significantly enhanced the ability to automatically detect surface cracks. Although recently developed transformer topologies may offer advantages, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) remain the most common ...

Employ a Mobile Agent for Making a Payment

open access: yesMobile Information Systems, Volume 4, Issue 1, Page 51-68, 2008., 2008
The mobile agent paradigm offers flexibility and autonomy to e‐commerce applications. But it is challenging to employ a mobile agent to make a payment due to the security consideration. In this paper, we propose a new agent‐assisted secure payment protocol, which is based on SET payment protocol and aims at enabling the dispatched consumer‐agent to ...
