Kılıç balıklarının (Xiphias gladius) ilginç davranışları

open access: yes, 2021

Metabarcoding Primers for Indo‐Pacific Fishes

open access: yesEnvironmental DNA, Volume 7, Issue 5, September–October 2025.
We compared the relative performance of five metabarcoding primers (Berry 16S, Riaz 12S, MiFish E 12S, MiFish U 12S, and Leray CO1) to recover Indo‐Pacific fish taxa. We tested the primers using template DNA from three types of samples: (1) mock communities of tissue‐based DNA extractions, (2) a semi‐natural aquarium tank, and (3) a tropical coral reef

Philichthys xiphiae (Copepoda; Philichthyidae) - an interesting cranium parasite of the swordfish Xiphias gladius collected from the Baltic Sea

open access: yesOceanological and Hydrobiological Studies, 2021
The swordfish, Xiphias gladius Linnaeus, 1758, is a fish that sporadically enters the Baltic Sea. The present paper describes the identification of a very rarely recorded and poorly studied copepod of the family Philichthyidae - Philichthys xiphiae Steenstrup, 1862 - in a dead swordfish found on a sea beach in Dźwirzyno (Poland) in 2016.
