Η εύρεση και η κατάργηση των αδυναμιών αυτών είναι σημαντική για τους προγραμματιστές καθώς η εκμετάλλευσή τους από κακόβουλους χρήστες μπορεί να προκαλέσει κενά ασφάλειας.
