Researches Regarding the Estrus Induction to Wean Sows, During the Summer Season, Using the Hormonal Products Maprelin XP10 and P.G. 600

open access: yesScientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2023
The researches were made with the goal to induce estrus to the wean sows, during the summer season. To the pluriparous sows we administrate 2 ml Maprelin XP 10 at 24 hours after weaning to the experimental group. Control group didn’t receive any hormonal

Inflammatory landscape in Xeroderma pigmentosum patients with cutaneous melanoma

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) is a DNA repair disease that predisposes to early skin cancers as cutaneous melanoma. Melanoma microenvironment contains inflammatory mediators, which would be interesting biomarkers for the prognosis or for the identification ...

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.

Xeroderma Pigmentosum A Multidisciplinary Approach [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Medical Journal Dermatology, 2013
Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) is a rare, autosomal recessive disorder of DNA repair. Affected individuals are unable to repair ultraviolet radiation (UVR)-induced DNA damage, leading to a variety of clinical manifestations: a dramatic increase in ...

Adaptive Hydrogels With Spatiotemporal Stiffening Using pH‐Modulating Enzymes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The chemomechanical coupling in an adaptive hydrogel is studied to further the development of adaptive hydrogels. This coupling is achieved by embedding a pH‐modulating enzyme in a pH‐responsive hydrogel. The enzymatic reaction can be triggered locally, which generates a pH‐decreasing wave throughout the system, increasing the crosslinking density and ...

Asymptotic behaviour at infinity of solutions of second kind integral equations on unbounded regions of Rn [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
We consider second kind integral equations of the form x(s) - (abbreviated x - K x = y ), in which Ω is some unbounded subset of Rn. Let Xp denote the weighted space of functions x continuous on Ω and satisfying x (s) = O(|s|-p ),s → ∞We show that if the

Self‐Sintering Ionogel Binder for Flexible, Recyclable, and Healable Printed Giant Magnetoresistive Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Electronic waste has emerged as a major environmental challenge, driven by the massive consumption and a limited lifetime of modern electronic devices, stimulating the development of sustainable electronics. Here, an all‐biomaterial gelatin‐choline‐citric acid ([Ch][CA]) ionogel is developed as an active binder to realize self‐sintered ...

Elevated Levels of Soluble CTLA-4, PD-1, PD-L1, LAG-3 and TIM-3 and Systemic Inflammatory Stress as Potential Contributors to Immune Suppression and Generalized Tumorigenesis in a Cohort of South African Xeroderma Pigmentosum Patients

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2022
Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP), an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by ultraviolet radiation-induced abnormalities of DNA excision and repair pathways is associated with early development of cutaneous cancers.
