Effects of Zr Doping into Ceria for the Dry Reforming of Methane over Ni/CeZrO2 Catalysts: In Situ Studies with XRD, XAFS, and AP-XPS

open access: yes, 2020
The methane activation and methane dry reforming reactions were studied and compared over 4 wt % Ni/CeO2 and 4 wt % Ni/CeZrO2 (containing 20 wt % Zr) catalysts.

Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Effect of photoionized plasma and EUV induced surface modification on physico-chemical properties and cytocompatibility of PLLA

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2020
In this work, low-temperature photoionized plasma, induced in N2 by extreme ultraviolet (EUV) pulses, was used for surface modification of poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA).

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Substrate Effect of Ir and Rh on Surface ReOx Species under a Hydrogen Atmosphere Studied by NAP-XPS

open access: yes, 2022
The substrate effect of M–Re (M is a noble metal) bifunctional catalysts for C–O hydrogenolysis has been studied by using single-crystal substrates including Ir(111) and Rh(111) with in situ near-ambient-pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (NAP-XPS)

Enargite by XPS [PDF]

open access: yesSurface Science Spectra, 2002
X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy was used for characterizing the enargite surface. Freshly cleaved samples were analyzed at liquid nitrogen temperature. Enargite is a copper arsenic sulfide of formula Cu3AsS4; it is used as a minor ore of copper. Enargite is a potential source of arsenic and may create environmental problems through the release of ...

Oxygen‐Tunnel Indium Tin Oxide Vertical Channel Transistors with Enhanced Current Density and Reliability for Monolithic 3D Compute‐In‐Memory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection
