Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Catalytic Preparation, Characterization and Performance Isomerization of M-Xylene by Modified Montmorillonite Prepared by Microwave

open access: yesScience Journal of University of Zakho, 2013
The preparation and the structural characterization of aluminium inter-foliated montmorillonite (Algerien clay) has revealed that calcination by microwave finish in 10 minutes, present results showed a similar characterisation of height  performance as ...

Liquid-Phase Chemical Sensing Using Lateral Mode Resonant Cantilevers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Liquid-phase operation of resonant cantilevers vibrating in an out-of-plane flexural mode has to date been limited by the considerable fluid damping and the resulting low quality factors (Q factors).

Multi‐Scale Interface Engineering of MXenes for Multifunctional Sensory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MXenes, as two‐dimensional transition metal carbides and nitrides, demonstrate remarkable capabilities for multifunctional sensing applications. This review systematically examines multi‐scale interface engineering approaches that enhance sensing performance, enable diverse detection functionalities, and improve system‐level compatibility in MXene ...

A meta-analysis of menstrual abnormalities in workers exposed to benzene series

open access: yes环境与职业医学
BackgroundA large body of cross-sectional studies have indicated a correlation between exposure to benzene series and increased rates of menstrual abnormalities in female workers, but these findings are confusing as evidence in the field of preventive ...

Fluorescence visualization of a convective instability which modulates the spreading of volatile surface films [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The spontaneous spreading of a thin liquid film along the surface of a deep liquid layer of higher surface tension is a ubiquitous process which provides rapid and efficient surface transport of organic or biological material.

Ultrasmall Platinum Nanoparticles for Radiation‐Enhanced Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work proposes a nanomedicine‐based strategy to enhance X‐ray radiotherapy for cancer treatment. Ultrasmall Pt‐NPs exhibit catalase‐like activity that may contribute to modulation of the tumor microenvironment and amplify interactions between radiation and biological matter, leading to increased DNA damage.

Novel bis-arene (Sandwich) Complexes with NO\u3csup\u3e+\u3c/sup\u3e Acceptor. Isolation, X-ray Crystallography and Electronic Structure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The unusual charge-transfer complexes of various arene donors (ArH) with the nitrosonium cation (NO+) resulting from bimolecular [1 ∶ 1] associations can be extended at suitably high ArH concentrations to termolecular processes leading to the analogous ...

Independent components in spectroscopic analysis of complex mixtures

open access: yes, 2010
We applied two methods of "blind" spectral decomposition (MILCA and SNICA) to quantitative and qualitative analysis of UV absorption spectra of several non-trivial mixture types.
