Size dependent optical temperature sensing properties of Y2O3: Tb3+, Eu3+ nanophosphors

open access: yesRSC Advances, 2019
Using urea as a precipitation agent, Tb3+, Eu3+ co-doped Y2O3 nanophosphors were synthesized by a homogeneous precipitation method. The sizes of the sample particles were controlled by changing the molar ratio of the urea and rare earth ions.

Broad‐Spectral Response Lead Halide Perovskite Solar Cells Through Integration of Multifunctional Organic Bulk‐Heterojunction and Quantum‐Cutting Downconversion Materials

open access: yesRare Metals, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Expanding near‐infrared (NIR) spectral response and utilizing ultraviolet (UV) photons are effective strategies for enhancing the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of lead halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, the range of NIR spectral response extension and the utilization of UV light for devices are not enough, and the loss of ...

Regulating TGO Nucleation and Growth of MCrAlX Coatings via Femtosecond Laser Remelting: The Role of Reactive Elements in the Oxidation Resistance

open access: yesRare Metals, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT MCrAlX coatings are widely used as bond coats in thermal barrier coating systems to protect turbine blades from high‐temperature oxidation. However, their oxidation resistance is often restricted by uncontrolled microstructures, surface roughness, and aggregation of reactive elements (REs). In this study, high‐repetition‐rate femtosecond laser

Enhanced Electrocatalytic and Cathode‐Electrolyte Interfacial Properties With a Pr‐Based Simple Perovskite/Ruddlesden‐Popper Nanocomposite Cathode in Protonic Ceramic Fuel Cells

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A novel Pr‐based nanocomposite cathode consisting of PrNi0.7Co0.3O3‐δ (simple perovskite) and Pr4Ni3O10+δ (Ruddlesden‐Popper) demonstrates enhanced oxygen absorption/surface diffusion and oxygen reduction reaction activity than pure PrNi0.7Co0.3O3‐δ. Combined with the precursor‐based cathode layer deposition technique, the nanocomposite cathode also ...
