Leader Regulatory Goal Setting and Employee Creativity

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Recent research suggests that leaders can influence employee creativity by shaping their followers' regulatory focus (promotion or prevention). We propose that this work has overlooked the nature of the regulatory goals (maximal or minimal) that leaders set for their followers. We performed two studies to test this: a vignette‐based experiment

Cold brown dwarfs with WISE: Y dwarfs and the field mass function

Astronomische Nachrichten, 2013
AbstractThe discovery of a new spectral class – the Y dwarfs – by NASA's Wide‐field Infrared Survey Explorer has enabled researchers to study the physics of the coldest brown dwarfs and to determine the prevalence of brown dwarfs in the Milky Way. The boundary between T dwarfs and Y dwarfs roughly coincides with the location where the J – H colors of ...

Ultracool Objects: L, T, and Y Dwarfs

2013
The discovery of the first bona fide brown dwarfs in 1995 ushered in a new era in both stellar and planetary astrophysics. The emergent spectra of brown dwarfs are distinct from those of the lowest-mass stars and thus the creation of three new spectral classes, L, T, and Y, were required in order to classify them.
