Effects of yaw on low angle injection into a supersonic flow
29th Aerospace Sciences Meeting, 1991This paper presents the results of a study of transverse gas injection into supersonic/hypersonic streams with low downstream transverse angles in addition to yaw angles varying from zero to approximately 30 deg. The primary data are concentration measurements, with nanoshadowgraphs and oil flow visualization pictures also included.

Capacitive gap and yaw angle sensor for linear drives
IECON 2010 - 36th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2010For long primary linear drives with passive vehicles, no auxiliary energy or information is transferred between stationary parts and the moving vehicles. In order to simplify the mechanical construction, a magnetic guiding system for the lateral position and the yaw angle was developed.

Intelligent predictive control of a model helicopter's yaw angle
Asian Journal of Control, 2010AbstractIn this paper the concept of Control Inertia is introduced and based on this concept, unexpectedly inadequate control behaviour of High Control Inertia systems is explained. Fuzzy compensators are then suggested to improve the control behaviour. This work is in the area of non‐model‐based control.

Vision-Based Speed and Yaw Angle Measurement System
Automation Technology for Off-Road Equipment Proceedings of the 2002 Conference, 2013We propose a system that is able to detect vehicle speed and yaw angle based on vision sensors. In rice fields in Japan, rice is transplanted in an ordered grid pattern. We have already developed a vision system able to estimate plant positions with high precision based on this lattice layout.

A Reliable Fusion Methodology for Simultaneous Estimation of Vehicle Sideslip and Yaw Angles
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2016Vehicle sideslip and yaw angles are critical for many vehicle safety systems. Although much research has been presented to obtain them individually, simultaneous accurate estimation of them, based on affordable sensors for land vehicle applications, is seldom reported.

On temperature and yaw-angle sensitivities of hot-wire probes
Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1988Available temperature correction schemes for hot-wire signals have been originally derived for single normal wire probes (in other words, for a normal flow velocity). However, these correction schemes have been used in many flow situations with slanted-wire, X-wire or multiple-wire probes.

OMEGA - Opto-Electronic Measurements Of The Yaw Angle Of Projectiles
SPIE Proceedings, 1985It is the purpose of this paper to describe an opto-electronic method which allows non-contacting and non-reactive measurements to be performed of the space position of a rod-shaped body in free-flight such as a projectile. The beam of light from a laser is wide-ned to form a thin lighting row oriented preferably normal to the direction of flight.
