Composition, seasonal variation, and salinization characteristics of soil salinity in the Chenier Island of the Yellow River Delta

open access: yesGlobal Ecology and Conservation, 2020
Coastal wetlands, which are fragile and intricate ecosystems with continuously changing salinity and moisture, are especially sensitive to climate changes and anthropogenic activities.

Impact of river discharge on hydrodynamics and sedimentary processes at Yellow River Delta [PDF]

open access: yesMarine Geology, 2020
During the Anthropocene, regulating river discharge by high dams may have met the need for water demands in river basins, but resulted in carrying less freshwater and sediment to the sea, inducing land degradation and shoreline retreat in worldwide mega-river deltas. In land-ocean interaction, tide response to water discharge changes plays an important

Plant Rhizospheres Harbour Specific Fungal Groups and Form a Stable Co-Occurrence Pattern in the Saline-Alkali Soil

open access: yesAgronomy, 2023
Soil salinisation has been considered a substantial ecosystem issue with negative effects on sustainable agricultural practices. Practices of vegetation restoration are widely conducted for coping with saline soil degradation, especially in saline-alkali

Targeting the ARRDC3–DRP1 Axis via hUMSC‐Derived Exosomal CRYAB for Neuroprotection in Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Intranasally administered hUMSC‐derived exosomes modulate the CRYAB–ARRDC3–Drp1 axis, alleviating mitochondrial dysfunction and ferroptosis, enhancing neuronal survival, reducing oxidative stress, and promoting functional recovery in ischemia‐reperfusion injury, offering a promising therapeutic strategy for ischemic stroke.

Deciphering evolutionary dynamics of WRKY genes in Arachis species

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2023
Background Cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea), a progeny of the cross between A. duranensis and A. ipaensis, is an important oil and protein crop from South America. To date, at least six Arachis genomes have been sequenced. WRKY transcription factors (

Early Radiation Therapy Response Assessment Using Multi‐Scale Photoacoustic Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tomographic and mesoscopic photoacoustics capture intratumoural features of radioresistance and response. ABSTRACT There is a critical unmet clinical need to identify biomarkers that predict and detect radiation therapy (RT) response in cancer. Using the unique capabilities of multi‐scale photoacoustic imaging (PAI) to depict tumor oxygenation and ...

Respiratory‐Limbic Coupling via a Thalamic Circuit Alleviates Anxiety

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study delineates a conserved preBötCGlu→PVT→CeA circuit that gates anxiety and respiration. Activation of this circuit is anxiolytic and respiratory‐stabilizing, while its inhibition has the opposite effect. Mechanistically, PVT exerts its anxiolytic action via a disinhibitory microcircuit: its inputs preferentially target CeL GABAergic neurons ...
