Caprine Enteritis Associated with Yersinia pseudotuberculosis Infection

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Medical Science, 2005
Yersiniosis was prevalent among a caprine herd during the late autumn of 2003 in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. The disease affected 29 of about 100 lactating goats, but not dried or nonparous goats, mature male goats or kids. Four animals died within an epidemic period of 20 days.

The serodiagnosis of human infections withYersinia enterocoliticaandYersinia pseudotuberculosis [PDF]

open access: yesFEMS Immunology & Medical Microbiology, 2006
The techniques of sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and immunoblotting were evaluated for the serodiagnosis of human infections with Yersinia enterocolitica and Yersinia pseudotuberculosis. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) was prepared from strains comprising four serogroups of Y.

Urologic Bacteriome: The Hero or the Villain in Prostate Cancer Onset, Progression, and Treatment?

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, Volume 46, Issue 4, Page 1111-1151, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most frequently diagnosed cancer in men worldwide and the fifth leading cause of cancer‐related mortality, presenting urgent unmet clinical needs in diagnosis and treatment. The recognition of the microbiome as a key factor in human health has prompted numerous studies, revealing an exciting new approach to ...

Immunostimulating effect of Yersinia enterocolitica-antigen conjugated gold nanoparticles

open access: yesИнфекция и иммунитет, 2021
Yersinia enterocolitica is one of the most common causative agents of nosocomial infections and the causative agent of yersiniosis, an acute infectious disease of the gastrointestinal tract. Intestinal yersiniosis caused by Y.

Postbiotics: An Overview and Recommendations for Improved Reporting

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, Volume 70, Issue 14, 29 July 2026.
Human clinical trials of postbiotics and corresponding preclinical evidence were evaluated. Key reporting gaps identified included inconsistent terminology, incomplete inactivation method reporting, variable dosing information, insufficient quality‐control data, and inadequate taxonomic characterization.

Influence of PhoP and intra-species variations on virulence of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis during the natural oral infection route. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
The two-component regulatory system PhoP/PhoQ has been shown to (i) control expression of virulence-associated traits, (ii) confer survival and growth within macrophages and (iii) play a role in Yersinia infections.

Two Cases of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis Infection in Children

open access: yesJournal of the Japanese Association for Infectious Diseases, 1990
Yersinia pseudotuberculosis (Y. pseudotuberculosis) infection is an intestinal infectious disease comparable in importance as those with Campylobacter or Salmonella. Clinical symptoms of Y. pseudotuberculosis infection vary. In this report, we will describe the clinical symptoms and immunological conditions of the patients with Y.

Multiple Outbreaks of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis Infections in Finland [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Microbiology, 2004
ABSTRACT During 2001, 89 culture-confirmed cases of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis were reported in Finland; 55 (62%) were serotype O:1, and 34 (38%) were serotype O:3. Four major pulsed-field gel electrophoresis profiles were identified.

Regulation of the Yersinia pseudotuberculosis Type III Secretion System by the CpxAR Two‐Component System

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, Volume 126, Issue 1, Page 81-97, July 2026.
Host tissue cues including temperature, oxygen, and iron availability regulate expression of the Yersinia type III secretion system (T3SS) master regulator LcrF. We found that CpxR inhibits LcrF through an indirect, multi‐factorial mechanism and identified the osmolarity‐sensing OmpR/EnvZ system as an additional regulator of LcrF, highlighting ...

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Infected by Yersinia pseudotuberculosis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Microbiology, 2006
ABSTRACT Infected aneurysms caused by Yersinia are very uncommon and are principally due to Yersinia enterocolitica . We describe the first case of an infected aneurysm caused by Yersinia pseudotuberculosis in an elderly patient with a history of ...
