Example of yield-per-recruit isopleths.
Yield as a function of fishing mortality rates (F) and sizes at first capture (Lc) for the giant trevally Caranx ignobilis. Ycurr represents current yield-per-recruit (in kg) in the fishery and Yeum is the highest possible yield for the current F (0.4 ...

Sensitivity and variance estimators for virtual population analysis and the equilibrium yield per recruit model [PDF]
Fish stock assessment makes Widespread use of Virtual Population Analysis (VPA) and long-term equilibrium prediction models. Although there have been some statistical investigations about the properties of VPA results, apparently there are no complete analyse about predictions statistical and numerical behaviour. However, management decisions generally

Central Nervous System Tumors Among Infants in Canada: A Report From CYP‐C
ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) tumors in infants are rare, pose unique clinical challenges, and lack large‐scale evidence‐based data to guide management. This study seeks to describe CNS tumors in Canadian infants and to compare their outcomes with those of older children.

GROWTH, MORTALITY AND YIELD PER RECRUIT OF RHABDOSARGUS HAFFARA (SPARIDAE) FROM THE SUEZ BAY [PDF]
An estimate of the age and growth of Rhabdosargus hqffara collected from the Suez Bay is made by examining the growth increment of their scales. The growth rings showed that R. hqffara rarely attain more than four years. The Bertalanffy growth parameters were estimated as K= 0.47 , L^ = 26.79cm and to = -0.36 .

ABSTRACT Rates of cancer among adolescents and young adults (AYA), age 15–39 years, are increasing. Consequently, radiation oncologists are treating more AYAs who have diagnoses spanning both pediatric and adult practices. Compared to pediatric and older adult patients, AYAs face a unique set of challenges.

Growth, Mortality, Yield Per Recruit and Management of Siganus rivulatus Stock from the Suez Canal, Egypt [PDF]
Siganus rivulatus is considered one of the most successful Lessepsian migrant fish, yet the scarce of studies about its population structure in new habitats of the Suez Canal is clearly realized. In the present study, the yield per recruit of S. rivulatus was estimated in Suez Canal based on investigation of growth parameters, mortality coefficients ...

Pediatric Idiopathic Multicentric Castleman Disease Is Often Severe But Responsive to Siltuximab
ABSTRACT Background Idiopathic multicentric Castleman disease (iMCD) is a potentially fatal immunologic disorder marked by widespread lymphadenopathy and inflammation. Siltuximab, an interleukin‐6 (IL‐6) inhibitor, is the only FDA‐approved treatment for adult patients with iMCD.

ABSTRACT Background Latino children are projected to make up nearly one‐third of United States (US) children by 2060, and many of their caregivers speak Spanish. Prior survey research has documented communication difficulties for Spanish‐speaking caregivers of children with cancer, but contemporary qualitative data are limited.

Population Dynamics of Penaeus semisulcatus in the Gulf of Suez, Egypt
Monthly length frequency data of Penaeus semisulcatus were analyzed to determine the age, growth, mortality rates and yield per recruit. The maximum life span of P. semisulcatus was found to be 15 months for males and 18 months for females.
