The Changing Relation Between the Canadian and U.S. Yield Curves [PDF]

open access: yes
The term structures of Canada and of the United States, two countries with historically close economic ties, have been closely linked. We investigate the link between Canadian and U.S.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Effect of planting geometry, hybrid maturity, and population density on yield and yield components in sorghum

open access: yes
Master of ScienceDepartment of AgronomyRobert M. AikenMary B. KirkhamPrior studies indicate clumped planting can increase grain sorghum yield up to 45% under water deficit conditions by reducing tiller number, increasing radiation use efficiency, and ...

Effect of drought stress on yield, proline and chlorophyll contents in three chickpea cultivars

open access: yes, 2010
Drought stress is one of the major abiotic stresses in agriculture worldwide. This study was carried out to investigate the effect of drought stress on proline content, chlorophyll content, photosynthesis and transpiration, stomatal conductance and yield

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

An Empirical Analysis of the Canadian Term Structure of Zero-Coupon Interest Rates [PDF]

open access: yes
Zero-coupon interest rates are the fundamental building block of fixed-income mathematics, and as such have an extensive number of applications in both finance and economics.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Combining abilitys for yield components in sunflower

open access: yesSelekcija i Semenarstvo, 2000
In order to develop new single-cross sunflower hybrids with an altered plant model and a high genetic potential for seed yield and oil content, it is essential to study the combining abilitys of the inbred lines. Full diallel crosses with six genetically divergent sunflower inbreds were carried out in order to study the mode of inheritance and ...
