Coffee Yield Mapping

2002 Chicago, IL July 28-31, 2002, 2002
An automatic weighing system was developed and interfaced to a GPS for use during mechanical coffee harvesting. The canvas hopper and load cells system successfully measured crop yield. The obtained results showed a great spatial variability in coffee yield, ranging from 2.1 to 16.0 Mg/ha in a 1.1 hectare plot in a farm in Sao Paulo state.

Grain Yield Mapping: Yield Sensing, Yield Reconstruction, and Errors

Precision Agriculture, 2002
Research findings are reviewed focusing on yield sensing methods, yield reconstruction, mapping, and errors. Yield sensing methods were explained and yield mapping process was briefly introduced. Grain flow through different combines was explained and the effects of combine dynamics on yield measurement accuracy were discussed.

QTL mapping of yield-related traits in sesame

Molecular Breeding, 2021
Improving yield is one of the most important targets of sesame breeding. Identifying quantitative trait loci (QTLs) of yield-related traits is a prerequisite for marker-assisted selection (MAS) and QTL/gene cloning. In this study, a BC1 population was developed and genotyped with the specific-locus amplified fragment (SLAF) sequencing technology, and a

QTL mapping for yield and yield contributing traits in two mapping populations of bread wheat

Molecular Breeding, 2006
In bread wheat, single-locus and two-locus QTL analyses were conducted for seven yield and yield contributing traits using two different mapping populations (P I and P II). Single-locus QTL analyses involved composite interval mapping (CIM) for individual traits and multiple-trait composite interval mapping (MCIM) for correlated yield traits to detect ...

GPS for yield mapping on combines

Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, 1994
Abstract This contribution reports investigations on yield detection of grain with combines. It describes the two types of yield measurement systems used, the position detection with the Global Positioning System (GPS) and the data acquisition system. Information on the precision attained is given by analyses.

Yield Monitoring and Mapping

2018
The chapter deals with techniques used for yield monitoring and mapping in precision agriculture. Yield maps are one of the most valuable sources of spatial data for precision agriculture. In developing these maps, it is essential to remove the data points that do not accurately represent the yield at a corresponding location.

Yield Map Interpretation

Journal of Production Agriculture, 1999
Yield monitoring and mapping are becoming commonplace with many crops throughout North America. Some fields now have a 3‐ to 5‐yr yield map history. A yield map, however, only documents the spatial distribution of crop yield and does not explain what factor(s) caused the variation.
