Experimental study of surface cracks [PDF]
Analysis of plastic zones surrounding surface cracks in stressed steel and titanium plates subjected to tensile loading shows that back surface dimpling develops at stress levels considerably lower than those predicted by theoretical models of yield zone

Surface EXAFS via differential electron yield
Surface-sensitive analysis via extended X-ray absorption fine-structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy is demonstrated using a thickness-defined SiO2 (12.4 nm)/Si sample. The proposed method exploits the differential electron yield (DEY) method wherein Auger electrons escaping from a sample surface are detected by an electron analyzer.

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

Analysis of the effect of cohesion and gravity on the bulk behaviour of powders using Discrete Element Method [PDF]
Computer simulations using Distinct Element Method have been carried out to analyse the bulk behaviour of a polydisperse assembly of glass beads. For this purpose an assembly made of 3000 spheres were generated to which the mechanical properties of glass

Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

Development of a continuum plasticity model for the commercial finite element code ABAQUS [PDF]
The present work relates to the development of computational material models for sheet metal forming simulations. In this specific study, an implicit scheme with consistent Jacobian is used for integration of large deformation formulation and plane ...

Yield Surfaces of SUS304 Under Cyclic Loading
To formulate the constitutive equations for cyclic plasticity, the subsequent yield surfaces should be examined carefully. In this paper, the subsequent yield surfaces have been examined from the experiment for the initially isotropic material of SUS304 subject to cyclic loading, using a 50µm/m offset strain criterion for yielding probed at the current

Size-dependent yield hardness induced by surface energy [PDF]
Size dependent hardness has long been reported in nanosized indentations, however the corresponding explanation is still in exploration. In this paper, we examine the influence of surface energy on the hardness of materials under spherical indentation.
