Development‐based In Vivo Bioreactor Strategy for Challenging Senescent Bone Reconstruction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a development‐based in vivo bioreactor strategy to generate rejuvenated bone grafts (vBR‐Bone) within aged hosts. By enclosing vBR‐Bone fragments within an asymmetric biomimetic periosteum, segmental femoral defects in aged mice were successfully repaired within 6 weeks. Mechanistically, the multifactors of vBR‐Bone reconstitute a remodeling

Youth-to-Youth Engagement

open access: yesInternational Journal of Recent Technology and Engineering, 2019
Youth-to-youth engagement develops as well as enhances sense of belonging, autonomy and power control, competence, motivation and decision-making skills. Millennial youth are self-learned generation; thus, peer influence is vital. Based on these premises, GENIUS Remaja programmes are created ‘with youths’ rather than ‘for youth’.

Supporting Youth Employment: A Guide for Community Groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Although public money is available for education, job training and youth programs throughout the nation, many young people in low-income communities do not acquire the skills and credentials necessary to get high paying jobs. This Guide is a resource for

Dual‐Physical‐Field Nanocatalysis: Injectable Hydrogel Enables Piezo‐Photothermal Synergy for Breast Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Piezocatalytic therapy (PCT) harnesses mechanical energy to generate tumor‐lethal reactive oxygen species (ROS), but its efficacy is limited by rapid electron‐hole recombination and poor intratumoral retention. To overcome these limitations, we engineered heterostructured BiOCl@CuO nanosheets embedded in an injectable, conductive ...

A systematic survey of type I secretion systems and their substrate proteins in Salmonella

open access: yesVirulence
Type I secretion systems (T1SSs) and the substrates have not been investigated extensively in Salmonella, despite their potential significance. In this research, we screened the comprehensive list of Salmonella T1SSs, observed their evolution and ...

Dual Covalent Targeting of STING Cysteines 292/309 Disrupts Functional Oligomerization and Enables Potent Antagonist Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report a rational design strategy for STING antagonists by dual covalent targeting of Cys292/309 in its C‐terminal domain, directly preventing functional oligomerization. Through covalent warhead repurposing, we identified P005091 and revealed its unique dual‐cysteine mechanism.

SAA/FPR2 Signaling Between Pericentral Hepatocytes and Macrophages Exacerbates Zonated Liver Transplant Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
After liver transplantation, ischemia‐reperfusion injury is more severe in pericentral regions. Multiomic analyses of human grafts and mouse models identify FOXO1 activation in pericentral hepatocytes as an upstream driver of SAA secretion. SAA recruits and activates FPR2+ macrophages, amplifying local inflammation. Amilo‐5MER inhibits SAA bioactivity,

Axis Specific Player Load to Quantify Lower Limb Biomechanical Loading in Adolescent Badminton Players

open access: yesInternational Journal of Racket Sports Science
While the use of accelerometer derived Player Load has become increasingly prominent, the limitation of this approach is that training load is reduced to a single number with no differentiation between the mechanisms of loading, resulting in a loss of ...

Emancipated Foster Youth Returning to Birth Parents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Although foster youth should only emancipate from care if reunification or adoption is not possible by the time the youth must age out, some youth still return to the same families from whom they were ...
