Quantitative sedimentological analysis of the aeolian–fluvial Triassic Sherwood Sandstone Group, Cheshire Basin, UK

open access: yesSedimentology, Volume 72, Issue 4, Page 1233-1274, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Sedimentological analysis of the outcropping Sherwood Sandstone Group, northern Cheshire Basin, UK, documents the preserved stratigraphic expression of water table‐controlled aeolian‐dominated erg‐margin successions (Wilmslow Sandstone Formation and lower Helsby Sandstone Formation), overlain by dryland fluvial deposits (middle Helsby ...

Straining Flow Effects on Sperm Flagellar Energetics in Microfluidic Cross‐Slot Traps

open access: yesSmall, Volume 21, Issue 21, May 26, 2025.
This study explores the impact of straining flow on the flagellar energetics of single trapped sperm using microfluidic cross‐slot devices. Findings reveal that higher strain rates disrupt periodic beating, reduce amplitude, and power dissipation, while maintaining frequency.

Treatment‐Free Remission Outcomes in a BCR::ABL1 Digital PCR Selected Clinical Cohort of CML Patients

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, Volume 114, Issue 5, Page 900-907, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Approximately 40%–60% of patients reaching a stable deep molecular response during TKI treatment will maintain a state of remission after TKI discontinuation, denoted as treatment‐free remission (TFR). Depth of molecular response assessed by BCR::ABL1 digital PCR prior to TKI discontinuation has demonstrated its significance as a reliable ...

4‐O‐Methylglucuronoxylan from Hygrophila Ringens var. Ringens Seeds: Chemical Composition and Anti‐Inflammatory Activity

open access: yesMacromolecular Bioscience, Volume 25, Issue 4, April 2025.
4‐O‐Methylglucuronoxylan from Hygrophila ringens var. ringens is found to inhibit the serum albumin denaturation, inflammatory cytokines, and release of reactive oxygen species by activation of mitogen‐activated protein kinases without having significant macrophage cytotoxicity.

Protein Nanoparticles for Targeted SARS‐CoV‐2 Trapping and Neutralization

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 6, March 3, 2025.
This study presents the development of LCB1/LCB3‐NPs, protein‐only nanoparticles that target the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) by binding the spike protein with low‐nanomolar affinity. These nanoparticles demonstrate efficient viral neutralization and hold potential for applications such as SARS‐CoV‐2 diagnostics, surface
