ABSTRACT This study addresses limitations of the conventional dry‐pressing method for electrolyte‐supported films—smooth surfaces, excessive thickness, and fragile supports inducing damage. We propose an innovative camphor–quartz sand composite architecture to construct a five‐layer (camphor/quartz sand/YSZ/quartz sand/camphor) system, enabling thin ...

Spark Plasma Sintered Ni-YSZ/YSZ Bi-Layers for Solid Oxide Fuel Cell
Ni-YSZ/YSZ bi-layers for SOFCs were fabricated by spark plasma sintering (SPS). Optimization of SPS parameters of YSZ and NiO/YSZ powders was performed in order to fabricate anode and electrolyte with desired microstructures. The effect of sintering conditions on microstructure and electrical properties of YSZ was studied.

Systematic alloying of Ni with Cu, Fe, and Co in Ni/YSZ electrodes modifies active site density up to 43%, decreases activation energies by up to 44%, and reduces carbon deposition fourfold. Cu–Ni alloy is among the most promising alloy catalysts for electrochemical CO2 reduction in SOECs.

A novel organic–inorganic YSZ@PANI/SnS2 composite nanofiber film was prepared via an in‐situ construction strategy of a PANI interfacial layer. The biomimetic "branch‐leaf" structure effectively disperses and releases stress and energy, while accelerating gas diffusion/transport and providing abundant active sites.
