Bidirectional immunomodulating activity of fermented polysaccharides from Yupingfeng

Research in Veterinary Science, 2017
Accumulating evidence has proven the immunomodulating activity of Yupingfeng. This study compared the immunomodulatory activity in vitro of the unfermented Yupingfeng dreg polysaccharides (UYDP) with that of the fermented Yupingfeng dreg polysaccharides (FYDP) obtained using Rhizopus oligosporus SH.

Fermented Yupingfeng polysaccharides enhance immunity by improving the foregut microflora and intestinal barrier in weaning rex rabbits

Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2016
Yupingfeng (YPF) is a kind of Astragali radix-based ancient Chinese herbal supplemented with Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma and Radix Saposhnikoviae. Increasing evidence has proven the beneficial immunomodulating activity of YPF. However, the action mechanism(s) of it is not known.

Polysaccharides from Yupingfeng granules ameliorated cyclophosphamide-induced immune injury by protecting intestinal barrier

International Immunopharmacology
Immune injury is the main side effect caused by cyclophosphamide and the disruption of the intestinal barrier may be an important cause. Yupingfeng granules have been reported to have immunomodulatory effects and polysaccharides are important components of them.

Effects of Yupingfeng polysaccharide in diet on slaughtering performance and meat flavor of Qingyuan partridge chicken

Food Chemistry
With the improvement of living standards, people's expectations for chickens' quality and flavor have also grown. Yupingfeng polysaccharide (YPF-P) has pharmacological effects such as regulating fatty acid composition and gut microbiota. In this study, different doses of YPF-P were added to the feed of qingyuan partridge chickens.

Protective effects of jiawei yupingfeng polysaccharides on cyclophosphamide-induced intestinal injury in mice

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules
Jiawei Yupingfeng Polysaccharides (JYP), derived from the traditional Chinese medicine formula Jiawei Yupingfeng, exhibit favorable biological activity, although their physicochemical characteristics and role in regulating intestinal immune function and intestinal flora remain unclear.
