Heat measurement at various parts of three phase induction motor at low speed using Z-source filter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The stator temperature of the three phase induction motor with Z-source inverter drive is experimentally studied in this paper along with the comparison of the stator temperature of three phase induction motor with PWM drive. Z-source inverter employs an

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

A common ground switched-quasi-Z-source bidirectional DC-DC converter with wide-voltage-gain range for EVs with hybrid energy sources [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A common ground switched-quasi-Z-source bidirectional DC-DC converter is proposed for electric vehicles (EVs) with hybrid energy sources. The proposed converter is based on the traditional two-level quasi-Z-source bidirectional DC-DC converter, changing ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

An intracellular transporter mitigates the CO2‐induced decline in iron content in Arabidopsis shoots

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study identifies a gene encoding a transmembrane protein, MIC, which contributes to the reduction of shoot Fe content observed in plants under elevated CO2. MIC is a putative Fe transporter localized to the Golgi and endosomal compartments. Its post‐translational regulation in roots may represent a potential target for improving plant nutrition ...

Quasi-Z Source Inverter based 3-Phase Grid-Tied Photovoltaic System with Dual Loop Shoot-Through Control using Discrete Time Sliding Mode Control

open access: yesScientific African
This paper proposes a discrete-time sliding mode (DTSM) controller designed for dc-link voltage control for quasi-Z source inverter (q-ZSI) employed in a 3-phase grid-tied photovoltaic system. The dc-link voltage control of q-ZSI offers non-minimum phase

Capacitor Voltage Ripple Suppression for Z-Source Wind Energy Conversion System

open access: yesEnergies, 2016
This paper proposes an improved pulse-width modulation (PWM) strategy to reduce the capacitor voltage ripple in Z-source wind energy conversion system. In order to make sure that Z-source capacitor voltage has symmetrical maximum and minimum amplitudes ...
