A new quasi‐Z‐source switched‐boost four‐switch three‐phase inverter with independent shoot‐through and non‐shoot‐through modulation indexes [PDF]

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2021
Four‐switch three‐phase inverters (FSTPI) are the cost‐optimised version of two‐level voltage source inverters (TL‐VSI), promoted for low‐power/low‐voltage machine drive systems.

Improved Quasi Z-Source Inverter with Shoot-Through and Non-Shoot-Through Duty Ratios Prone Enhanced and Controllable Voltage Gain [PDF]

open access: gold
The conventional quasi z-source inverters (QZSIs) are not capable of producing DC-side voltage gain through duty ratio control of switching pulses during non-shoot-through operation. This restricts freedom of control. In consequence, decoupled control between modulation index and duty ratio for producing DC-side voltage gain is not permitted.

Symmetrical Shoot-Through Based Decoupled Control of Z-Source Inverter

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Total harmonic distortion, produced with the existing PWM techniques for a Z-source inverter topology, is higher due to the unsymmetrical shoot-through, if separate controls of ac and dc sides are required.

Three-phase double-grounded buck-boost PV inverter without shoot-through problem

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
The conventional transformerless photovoltaic(PV) inverter has the common mode leakage current and shoot-through problems. In addition, the output voltage of the PV module is low under the shading condition, resulting in the inverter not working properly.

New Shoot-Through Control Methods for qZSI-Based DC/DC Converters

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, 2013
Shoot-through control methods for qZSI-based dc/dc converters are presented and studied. The major goal was to increase efficiency. A new modulation technique, pulse width modulation (PWM) with shifted shoot-through, is compared with the conventional PWM shoot-through control method. The new method reduces switching frequency of bottom side transistors

An Embedded Half-Bridge Γ-Z-Source Inverter with Reduced Voltage Stress on Capacitors

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
In this paper, an embedded half-bridge Z-source inverter based on gamma structure is proposed. In contrast with the classical half-bridge inverter, the proposed inverter can generate zero voltage levels in output. High voltage gain and low voltage stress

Enhanced Boost Factor for Three-Level Quasi-Switched Boost T-Type Inverter

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
A new modulation strategy has been introduced in this paper in order to enhance the boost factor for the three-level quasi-switched boost T-type inverter (3L-qSBT2I).

Active Impedance Network Buck-Boost Three-Level T-Type Inverter With Enhanced Voltage Gain

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
This paper proposes a new PWM technique for a reduced-component-count active impedance network (RCC-AIN) three-level inverter to maximize the input/output (I/O) voltage gain. Although the max boost control (MBC) technique offers the same I/O voltage gain,
