Naturally light invisible axion and local Z13⊗Z3 symmetries [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2004
We show that by imposing local $Z_{13}\otimes Z_3$ symmetries in an $SU(2)\otimes U(1)$ electroweak model we can implement an invisible axion in such a way that (i) the Peccei-Quinn symmetry is an automatic symmetry of the classical Lagrangian; and (ii) the axion is protected from semi classical gravitational effects.

Electron Transfer Dissociation and Synchrotron UV Photodissociation of Trapped Sodiated Ions Produced From Polyacrylates by Electrospray Ionization

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Rationale Poly (acrylates)s can be distinguished from one another by the nature of their side chains. From model poly (acrylates)s, the purpose of this work was to evaluate the contribution of alternative activation techniques to the collisional activation, based on ion–ion and ion–photon interactions.

Measurement of the Z13 correction to the stopping power of Al for muons

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1981
Abstract The difference of the stopping power of Al for positive and negative muons has been determined by comparing the respective spectral flux densities with the help of a magnetic spectrometer and a counter telescope. The results agree well with inter- and extrapolated values of previous calorimetric measurements on protons and heavy ions.

Assessing D‐Squame as a Minimally Invasive Technique to Evaluate the Cutaneous Immune Response mRNA in a Dog Model of Canine Atopic Dermatitis

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 37, Issue 3, Page 353-364, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Canine atopic dermatitis (cAD) is a multifactorial, inherited skin disease, estimated to affect ≤ 15% of dogs. Studies of skin messenger mRNA in cAD currently use invasive methods, including blood sampling and biopsy collection, whilst advances in human atopic dermatitis study methodology have demonstrated reliable use of minimally ...

Background: Canine atopic dermatitis (cAD) is a common, chronic skin condition characterised by epidermal barrier dysfunction, immune dysregulation and cutaneous dysbiosis. While “emollient plus” formulations are widely used in human atopic dermatitis, their role in cAD remains underexplored. Hypothesis/Objectives: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and
