Analysing public debt in the Mexican states: Spatial convergence, regional drivers and policy recommendations

open access: yesPapers in Regional Science, Volume 102, Issue 4, Page 737-760, August 2023., 2023
Abstract Considering that public debt is a priority for policymakers in Mexico, the aim of this paper is to examine the convergence or divergence in debt per capita and main drivers of debt in the 32 Mexican states in the period 2006–2021. The results support significant spatial correlation of debt/cap across states.

Mason bees and honey bees synergistically enhance fruit set in sweet cherry orchards

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 13, Issue 7, July 2023., 2023
We present data from our field experiment carried out in 17 cherry orchards in Central Germany. We found that the number of honey bees and mason bees can be enhanced through proving honey bees hives and artificial nesting material. However, sweet cherry fruit set only increased when both species were enhanced, suggesting a synergistic effect of bee ...

Modulating Ion‐Dipole and Dipole–Dipole Interactions for Stable Wide‐Temperature‐Range Lithium–Sulfur Batteries Enabled by Quantum‐Dot Catalysts

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 39, September 22, 2025.
The electrochemical inertness of Li2S2 leads to irreversible sulfur loss. MoNQDs/NC reconfigure the solvation shell structure, thereby weakening the ion‐dipole effect within Li(solvent)x+ and enabling a fast desolvation process. Furthermore, localized dipole fields from their ordered Mo–N atoms enhance dipole–dipole interactions with Li2S2.

Tourism Development and Economic Complexity: An Empirical Analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Tourism Research, Volume 28, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT This study examines the relationship between tourism and economic complexity using a nonparametric methodology to characterize the dynamics across 94 countries over the period 1995–2019. After transforming the raw data into a bi‐dimensional series, a hierarchical clustering methodology is computed to uncover countries of similar performance ...

Screening and Identification of Diesel Biodegrading Bacteria Isolated From Petroleum Hydrocarbon Contaminated Garage Soils of Kericho County, Kenya

open access: yesInternational Journal of Microbiology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Despite the benefits of petroleum hydrocarbon as essential raw energy sources in many industries, they cause major global environmental pollution. Petroleum hydrocarbons pollutants are highly toxic and recalcitrant, making them dangerous and persistent over long periods in an ecosystem.

Enhancing Bidirectional Sulfur Conversion Through p–d Orbital Hybridization via Vacancy Engineering

open access: yesExploration, Volume 5, Issue 6, December 2025.
To effectively alleviate the severe shuttle effect and delayed redox kinetics of lithium–sulfur batteries, CoWO4−x/CNT composites with different oxygen vacancy concentrations were prepared. The p–d orbital hybridization caused by oxygen vacancy enhances the bidirectional sulfur conversion, and provides valuable insights for the development of highly ...

Biomimetic Nanomedicines Deliver Naringin for Enhanced Acute Liver Failure Therapy via Balanced Regulation of Hepatocyte Oxidative Stress and Kupffer Cell Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 42, October 15, 2025.
A biomimetic nanomedicine (RBLN) constructed by loading natural antioxidants to clinically used layered double hydroxide nanoparticles is surface coated with fresh or senescent red blood cell membrane for balanced drug delivery to hepatocytes and KCs, thereby simultaneously alleviating liver oxidant stress and inflammation for effective drug‐induced ...

Exploring the Catalytic Activity and Deactivation Pathway of Fluoride‐Doped Copper Manganese Oxides for the Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 12, Issue 16, August 20, 2025.
This work investigates the effect of F‐doped abundant element‐based CuMn2O4$\left(\text{CuMn}\right)_{2} \left(\text{O}\right)_{4}$ to electrolyze O2$\left(\text{O}\right)_{2}$ evolution. The electrical conductivity is significantly enhanced, and increased oxidative currents and lower onset potentials are found by fluoride inclusion.

A systematic review and meta‐analysis of parental mentalization in fathers and mothers

open access: yesInfant Mental Health Journal: Infancy and Early Childhood, Volume 46, Issue 4, Page 406-423, July 2025.
Abstract Despite the growing literature on parental mentalization (including measures such as mind‐mindedness, parental reflective functioning, and parental insightfulness), considerably less research on parental mentalization has been conducted with fathers than with mothers, leaving important gaps in our understanding of gender differences in the ...

The Inter‐Cratonic Neoproterozoic Katangan Basin of Central Africa: Rift Basin Formation, Orogenic Inversion and Potential Fluid Pathways

open access: yesTectonics, Volume 44, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract The tectono‐stratigraphic development of continental basins is critical to an understanding of continental tectonics and the formation of metal deposits. The Neoproterozoic, inter‐cratonic Katangan copper basin of Central Africa records a tectono‐stratigraphic evolution and the generation of potential metal transporting fluid pathways ...
