Social reintegration of women after obstetric fistula surgery: Evidence from a longitudinal multilevel mixed‐effects study in Zambia

Achieving continence remains central to obstetric fistula recovery because of its strong association with improved social reintegration. However, the marked gains observed during the first 3 months after surgery suggest that early postoperative follow‐up and reintegration support may be important even for women with persistent symptoms.
