Impact of Prior Biologic Mechanism of Action on Anti‐TNF Effectiveness in Inflammatory Bowel Disease: An ENEIDA Registry Study

open access: yesAlimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
In this nationwide ENEIDA registry study, anti‐TNF therapy after prior exposure to a different biologic mechanism of action showed reduced treatment durability in inflammatory bowel disease, with a particularly marked impact in ulcerative colitis, where short‐ and long‐term clinical effectiveness was also lower. ABSTRACT Background The expanding use of

Hidden in the Glaze: Cobalt Blue Decorations of Catalan Tin‐Glazed Ceramics From the 16th to 18th Centuries

open access: yesArchaeometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates technological evolution in 16th–18th century Catalan tin glazes and cobalt blue decorations. Analysis reveals three glaze strategies, highlighting shifts in tin oxide use and cobalt pigment composition. In the 16th century, tin oxide acted as an opacifier and cobalt pigments exhibit low arsenic content with CoO/NiO and ...

Three shades of self‐regulation with unique complex dynamics, drivers and targets for intervention

open access: yesBritish Journal of Educational Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract Self‐regulated learning (SRL) is an active process involving multiple interacting components that evolve over time, exhibiting characteristics of complex systems such as non‐linearity, emergent behaviour, self‐organization, and hierarchy. These interactions unfold at different temporal levels, each warranting a dedicated lens to capture their ...

Venezuelan migrants living with HIV in Barcelona: Migration patterns and baseline immunovirological characteristics in a retrospective cohort study

open access: yesHIV Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives To describe the sociodemographic characteristics, migration patterns and immunovirological outcomes of Venezuelan migrants living with HIV (PLWH) in Barcelona, Spain, and to compare them with other Latin American (LA) migrant PLWH. Methods We conducted a retrospective observational cohort study including LA migrant PLWH who attended

Computed tomography reveals the endocranial anatomy of Crocodylia: Implications for phylogenetic relationships and ecomorphological convergence across Crocodylomorpha

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
The evaluation of the endocranial anatomy of 43 crocodylian species reveals several differences, including variation in the curvature of the encephalic endocast, the size of the endosseous labyrinth and paratympanic sinuses, and the presence of additional snout sinuses.

Vicariance and dispersal in the Aegean Archipelago: Molecular phylogeography reveals the origin and divergence times of Hydropsyche (Trichoptera: Hydropsychidae) species

open access: yesJournal of Systematics and Evolution, EarlyView.
Divergence times of Greek Hydropsyche lineages fall mostly within the Pliocene‐Pleistocene, rejecting ancient vicariance. Widespread species show shallow divergences consistent with dispersal, while island endemics exhibit deeper isolation patterns supporting a mixed vicariance‐dispersal model.

A Journey Between Science and the Arts: Templates for the Depiction of the Pineapple (Sixteenth to Eighteenth Centuries)

open access: yesRenaissance Studies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Native to America, the pineapple—Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.—delighted the Europeans who came across it. The fruit was mentioned by the voyagers and missionaries who observed and tasted it in the Americas and, from the 1500s onwards, infused reports, chronicles and natural history treatises with colour and flavour.

Six weeks of high‐intensity interval training improve autonomic and metabolic responses in active postmenopausal women

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract This study analysed the effects of a supervised high‐intensity interval training (HIIT) programme on metabolic flexibility and autonomic function in active postmenopausal women. Twenty women (66.6 ± 6.2 years; 67.9 ± 11.1 kg) completed a 6‐week cycling HIIT intervention consisting of three weekly sessions (20 min/session).

Fragment Coverage: Unified Visualization and Quantitative Assessment of MS/MS Fragmentation Supports Metabolite Identification in Macromolecule Drug Metabolism Studies

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 40, Issue 21, 15 November 2026.
ABSTRACT Rationale Peptides and oligonucleotides are increasingly used as therapeutic agents, making the identification and structural elucidation of their metabolites a critical step in drug development. Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC‐MS/MS) is the primary analytical technique for this purpose; however, extensive backbone fragmentation ...

Punicalagin‐enriched edible coatings from revalorized pomegranate peels for quality enhancement of fresh‐cut celery

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 106, Issue 13, Page 8226-8236, October 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND Pomegranate peel is a rich source of phenolics, particularly punicalagin, but its valorization for fresh produce preservation requires stabilization. This study aimed to develop and evaluate freeze‐dried encapsulates of pomegranate peel extracts as ingredients in edible coatings for fresh‐cut celery. Pomegranate peels were extracted
