User evaluation of the Hypo-METRICS app: A tool for real-time symptom reporting of hypoglycaemia. [PDF]
The Hypo‐METRICS app enables real‐time, user‐friendly reporting of hypoglycaemia and its impacts using Ecological Momentary Assessment. High usability ratings and reduced recall bias highlight its potential to enhance research accuracy and provide individualized insights to support clinical decision making in diabetes care.

Associations between impaired awareness of hypoglycaemia and mental health in insulin-treated type 2 and type 1 diabetes in the Hypo-METRICS study. [PDF]
Abstract Aims The mental health impact of impaired awareness of hypoglycaemia (IAH) in people with type 2 diabetes (T2D) is not known. We explored this in people with insulin‐treated T2D and type 1 diabetes (T1D). Methods Hypo‐METRICS was a 10‐week cross‐sectional observation of hypoglycaemia experience, collecting data on glucose and activity ...

Zaremba problem with degenerate weights
Abstract We present new regularity result in the study of elliptic equations with mixed boundary conditions. We obtain small higher integrability of the gradient (Meyers property). The result is new for both linear and nonlinear equations with degenerate coefficients with a new sharp Maz’ya-type capacity condition on the part with ...

Discrepancy estimates for sequences: new results and open problems
In this paper we give an overview of recent results on (upper and lower) discrepancy estimates for (concrete) sequences in the unit-cube. In particular we also give an overview of discrepancy estimates for certain classes of hybrid sequences.

Landau damping of transverse quadrupole oscillations of an elongated Bose-Einstein condensate [PDF]
We study the interaction between low-lying transverse collective oscillations and thermal excitations of an elongated Bose-Einstein condensate by means of perturbation theory.

Using the Output Embedding to Improve Language Models
We study the topmost weight matrix of neural network language models. We show that this matrix constitutes a valid word embedding. When training language models, we recommend tying the input embedding and this output embedding.

Convolutional LSTM Networks for Subcellular Localization of Proteins [PDF]
Machine learning is widely used to analyze biological sequence data. Non-sequential models such as SVMs or feed-forward neural networks are often used although they have no natural way of handling sequences of varying length.

Observable Vortex Properties in Finite Temperature Bose Gases
We study the dynamics of vortices in finite temperature atomic Bose-Einstein condensates, focussing on decay rates, precession frequencies and core brightness, motivated by a recent experiment (Freilich et al. Science 329, 1182 (2010)) in which real-time
