Ignition and structure of a laminar diffusion flame in a compressible mixing layer with finite rate chemistry [PDF]

open access: yes
The ignition and structure of a reacting compressible mixing layer is considered using finite rate chemistry lying between two streams of reactants with different freestream speeds and temperatures.

Pre-recombinational energy release and narrow features in the CMB spectrum

open access: yes, 2008
Energy release in the early Universe (z~7000), and therefore differ from those arising due to normal cosmological recombination in the undisturbed CMB blackbody radiation field.

Performance, emissions, and lubricant oil analysis of a marine diesel engine powered by raw Schizochytrium sp. and its blends

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, Volume 20, Issue 1, Page 136-154, January/February 2026.
Abstract Microalgae oil (MAO), a third‐generation biofuel, can support global transportation fuel demand as a fossil fuel substitute. Schizochytrium sp. MAO is particularly promising for direct use in compression ignition (CI) engines, especially in the marine sector, due to its adaptability and high oil yield.

Planck-Scale Physics and Neutrino Masses

open access: yes, 1992
We discuss gravitationally induced masses and mass splittings of Majorana, Zeldovich-Konopinski-Mahmoud and Dirac neutrinos. Among other implications, these effects can provide a solution of the solar neutrino puzzle.

Performance and Emission Characteristics of Raphanus sativus, Jatropha, and Balanites Aegyptiaca Seed Mixed Biodiesel Blends in a Direct Injection Diesel Engine

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 1, Page 399-411, January 2026.
Flow chart of the transesterification process followed to produce the biodiesels. ABSTRACT The current study analyzes the performance and emission attributes of different blends (0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100% being termed as MB0, MB20, MB40, MB60, MB80 and MB100, respectively) of biodiesel derived from Raphanus Sativus, Jatropha, and Balanites ...

Modified Cosmology or Modified Galaxy Astrophysics is Driving the z > 6 JWST Results? Cosmic Microwave Background Experiments Can Discover the Origin in the Near Future

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
The massive and bright galaxies observed by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) at high redshifts ( z  > 6) have challenged our understanding of the Universe.

Does Bose-Einstein condensation of CMB photons cancel {\mu} distortions created by dissipation of sound waves in the early Universe?

open access: yes, 2012
The difference in the adiabatic indices of photons and non-relativistic baryonic matter in the early Universe causes the electron temperature to be slightly lower than the radiation temperature.

Bactericidal Effect of Nanopulse Generated Plasma on Bacillus subtilis Spores at Different Humidity Levels

open access: yesPlasma Processes and Polymers, Volume 23, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study found that cold plasma can effectively inactivate resistant bacterial spores, especially in high humidity conditions. By adjusting humidity, distance, and exposure time, the treatment became much more effective without using more energy or heat.

Is there a need and another way to measure the Cosmic Microwave Background temperature more accurately?

open access: yes, 2007
The recombination history of the Universe depends exponentially on the temperature, T_0, of the cosmic microwave background. Therefore tiny changes of T_0 are expected to lead to significant changes in the free electron fraction.

Reconstructing cosmological initial conditions from galaxy peculiar velocities. I. Reverse Zeldovich Approximation

open access: yes, 2012
We propose a new method to recover the cosmological initial conditions of the presently observed galaxy distribution, which can serve to run constrained simulations of the Local Universe.
