The Future of Hydrogen‐Powered Aviation: Technologies, Challenges, and a Strategic Roadmap for Sustainable Decarbonization

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Hydrogen‐powered aviation offers a transformative pathway to zero‐emission flight by eliminating in‐flight CO2 emissions. Key considerations include propulsion systems (fuel cells and hydrogen combustion), cryogenic storage and insulation challenges, infrastructure and cost barriers, and supply‐chain constraints.

Clustering of DESI galaxies split by thermal Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect

open access: yesThe Open Journal of Astrophysics
The thermal Sunyaev-Zeldovich (tSZ) effect is associated with galaxy clusters - extremely large and dense structures tracing the dark matter with a higher bias than isolated galaxies.

Emergent Photons and Gravitons:The Problem of Vacuum Structure

open access: yes, 2010
We discuss vacuum condensates associated with emergent QED and with torsion, as well as the possible role of the Kodama wave function in quantum cosmology.Comment: Talk presented at the Fifth Meeting on CPT and Lorentz Symmetry, University of Indiana ...

Copper Contact for Perovskite Solar Cells: Properties, Interfaces, and Scalable Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Copper electrodes, as low‐cost, scalable contacts for perovskite solar cells, offer several advantages over precious metals such as Au and Ag, including performance, cost, deposition methods, and interfacial engineering. Copper (Cu) electrodes are increasingly considered practical, sustainable alternatives to noble‐metal contacts in perovskite solar ...

Halo Zeldovich model and perturbation theory: dark matter power spectrum and correlation function

open access: yes, 2015
Perturbation theory for dark matter clustering has received a lot of attention in recent years, but its convergence properties remain poorly justified and there is no successful model that works both for correlation function and for power spectrum.

Computational Analysis of Spray Angle Effects on Combustion and Emissions in Methane‐Diesel Dual‐Fuel Engine

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 1100-1112, March 2026.
This study concluded that wider spray angles produce wall impingement and greater unburned hydrocarbons in methane‐diesel dual‐fuel engines, whereas 110° balances efficiency and emissions. ABSTRACT A diesel methane dual fuel engine appears as a potential means for lowering emissions while retaining useful thermal efficiency.

Toward Large Nonradiating Qubits: When Quantum Engineering Meets Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2026.
Nonradiating superconducting qubits suppress radiative losses through photonic‐inspired mechanisms such as anapole states and bound states in the continuum (BICs). This review surveys theoretical foundations and recent implementations of large, wavelength‐scale qubits that confine electromagnetic energy while maintaining coherence.

Mathematical Modeling of Measured Recalescence Velocities

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 49, Issue 2, Page 977-988, 30 January 2026.
ABSTRACT A moving‐boundary problem of synchronous directional and volumetric solidification in undercooled liquid drops is formulated and solved. Directional solidification is caused by the temperature gradient along the spatial direction, whereas volumetric growth of new phase elements is caused by the melt undercooling ahead of the phase transition ...

Highly Efficient Sono‐Contact‐Electrocatalysis Enabled by Fine‐Scale and Ultrasonically Generated Polytetrafluoroethylene Particles

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
This paper employs a range of carefully controlled experiments to understand the role of the structure, crystallinity, and chemical composition of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in driving catalytic reactions during sonication. These findings provide new insights into the applicability of PTFE in redox reactions and highlight key factors influencing ...
