The uncertainty of the atmospheric integrated water vapour estimated from GNSS observations [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Measurement Techniques, 2016
Within the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) Reference Upper-Air Network (GRUAN) there is a need for an assessment of the uncertainty in the integrated water vapour (IWV) in the atmosphere estimated from ground-based global navigation satellite ...

A Comprehensive Study on Factors Affecting the Calibration of Potential Evapotranspiration Derived from the Thornthwaite Model

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
Potential evapotranspiration (PET) is generally estimated using empirical models; thus, how to improve PET estimation accuracy has received widespread attention in recent years.

Assessment of the potential of MERIS near-infrared water vapour products to correct ASAR interferometric measurements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Atmospheric water vapour is a major limitation for high precision Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) applications due to its significant impact on microwave signals.

Prospects for determining air shower characteristics through geosynchrotron emission arrival times [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Using simulations of geosynchrotron radiation from extensive air showers, we present a relation between the shape of the geosynchrotron radiation front and the distance of the observer to the maximum of the air shower.

Fast Observation Operator for Global Navigation Satellite System Tropospheric Gradients

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
From the raw measurements at a single Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) ground-based station, the Zenith Total Delay (ZTD) and the tropospheric gradient can be estimated.

Preliminary Results on Tropospheric ZTD Estimation by Smartphone

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver is one of the many sensors embedded in smartphones. The early versions of the Android operating system could only access limited information from the GNSS, allowing the related Application Program ...

Monitoring Zenithal Total Delays over the three different climatic zones from IGS GPS final products: A comparison between the use of the VMF1 and GMF mapping functions

open access: yesGeodesy and Geodynamics, 2019
The International GNSS Service (IGS) final products (ephemeris and clocks-correction) have made the GNSS an indispensable low-cost tool for scientific research, for example sub-daily atmospheric water vapor monitoring.

Mixed‐Metal Promotion in a Manganese‐Molybdenum Oxynitride as Catalyst to Integrate C─C and C─N Coupling Reactions for the Direct Synthesis of Acetonitrile from Syngas and Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.
