Reinforced Concrete‐Inspired Multiscale Hierarchical Metamaterial Composite for Synergistic Enhancement Across Thermal, Electromagnetic, and Mechanical Domains

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 5, 15 January 2026.
A structurally integrated multiscale hierarchical metamaterial composite (MHMC), inspired by the synergistic architecture of reinforced concrete, achieves simultaneous enhancement of thermal, electromagnetic, and mechanical functionalities. By combining a carbon black‐based mechanical metamaterial with a porosity‐graded cellulose acetate aerogel, this ...

A New Global ZTD Forecast Model Based on Improved LSTM Neural Network

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Zenith tropospheric delay (ZTD), consisting of zenith hydrostatic delay (ZHD) and zenith wet delay (ZWD), is a significant contributor to errors in precise positioning using the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) precise point positioning (PPP ...

Spatial Interpolation of GNSS Troposphere Wet Delay by a Newly Designed Artificial Neural Network Model

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals arrive at the Earth in a nonlinear and slightly curved way due to the refraction effect caused by the troposphere. The troposphere delay of the GNSS signal consists of hydrostatic and wet parts.

Improving GNSS PPP-RTK through global forecast system zenith wet delay augmentation

open access: yesGPS Solutions
AbstractThe precise point positioning real-time kinematic (PPP-RTK) is a high-precision global navigation satellite system (GNSS) positioning technique that combines the advantages of wide-area coverage in precise point positioning (PPP) and of rapid convergence in real-time kinematic (RTK).

Where numerical weather prediction meets large‐eddy simulations in a convective boundary layer during the FESSTVaL field experiment

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, Volume 152, Issue 774, January 2026 Part A.
We exploit the Field Experiment on Sub‐mesoscale Spatio‐Temporal Variability in Lindenberg (FESSTVaL) to compare the performance of an NWP model at sub‐km resolutions with a traditional LES model. Focusing on clear‐sky ABL turbulence (June 14), shallow convective clouds and surface radiation (June 27), and deep convective cold pools (June 29), we find ...

Convective Self‐Aggregation in Diurnally Oscillating Sea Surface Temperature and Solar Forcing Experiments

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 18, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract We have addressed convective self‐aggregation (CSA) in steady and oscillating sea surface temperature (SST) and solar radiation (SOLIN) cloud‐resolving model simulations in a non‐rotating radiative‐convective equilibrium (RCE) framework. Our experiment designs are motivated by land‐ocean heterogeneity of atmospheric convection.

Atmospheric Water Vapor and Precipitation Coupling in Southwestern South America

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 24, 28 December 2025.
Abstract Most studies linking atmospheric water vapor and precipitation emphasize short records, tropical regions, or the Northern Hemisphere. Long‐term variability of water vapor and its coupling with precipitation remain poorly understood across strong latitudinal and climatic gradients.

A Modern Roman‐Inspired Concrete with Daytime Radiative Cooling Capacity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 47, December 18, 2025.
Coolcrete, inspired by ancient Roman concrete, is a new cementitious material with photonic properties enabling passive daytime radiative cooling. Made from quicklime and zeolites, it reduces cooling energy demand, lowers CO2 emissions, and may eliminate urban heat islands.

Assessment of the Accuracy of the Saastamoinen Model and VMF1/VMF3 Mapping Functions with Respect to Ray-Tracing from Radiosonde Data in the Framework of GNSS Meteorology

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
In this paper, we assess, in the framework of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) meteorology, the accuracy of GNSS propagation delays corresponding to the Saastamoinen zenith hydrostatic delay (ZHD) model and the Vienna Mapping function VMF1/VMF3 (

Gonadosomatic Index (GSI) of Stinging Catfish in Relation to Water Quality and Climatic Variables, and Its Trend Analysis Using SARIMA Model

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 5, Issue 6, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Stinging catfish (Heteropneustes fossilis) is a commercially important farmed freshwater species in Bangladesh; however, due to various challenges in natural reproduction, hatchery‐based seed supply is crucial. This longitudinal study (2022–2024) in an earthen pond assessed its reproductive performance through the gonadosomatic index (GSI ...
