A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Role of induced exchange bias in zero field spin–orbit torque magnetization switching in Pt/[Ni/Co]/PtMn

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
Current induced magnetization switching is of particular interest to develop non-volatile magnetic memories (MRAM). We studied spin–orbit torque (SOT) switching in a Pt/ferromagnet/antiferromagnet Pt/[Co/Ni]2/PtMn Hall cross. For the as-deposited sample,

Autotuning of Resonant Switched-Capacitor Converters for Zero Voltage Switching

open access: yes2023 IEEE 24th Workshop on Control and Modeling for Power Electronics (COMPEL), 2023
By operating resonant switched-capacitor converters at resonance, zero current switching (ZCS) can be achieved to eliminate voltage-current overlap losses. Previous literature has shown that zero voltage switching (ZVS) can also be achieved to further reduce switching losses and attain a higher peak efficiency by recovering the charge stored in the ...

Adaptable Tile‐Based Pneumatic Origami through Structurally Coupled Localized Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents tile‐based pneumatic origami structures with rigid tiles and flexible fabric creases, achieving adaptable properties including morphing shape, selective multistability, and tunable stiffness. Independently pressurized folding bladders at each crease enable structurally coupled localized actuation of origami structures.

A phase‐shift modulated series resonant converter achieving zero‐voltage and zero‐current switching for wide output voltage range battery charging applications

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2022
In this article, a phase‐shift modulated zero‐voltage and zero‐current switching (ZVZCS) series resonant converter (SRC) was proposed for constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV) charging operating at the series resonant frequency.

Organic Electrochemical Transistor Channel Materials: Copolymerization Versus Physical Mixing of Glycolated and Alkoxylated Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work discusses the use of blended channel materials in OECTs. It explores how mixing glycolated and alkoxylated polymers in various ratios offers a simpler and more efficient route to tuning OECT properties. The performance of the polymer blends is compared to the corresponding copolymers, demonstrating similar OECT characteristics, swelling ...

An optimized scheme for OLTCs of distribution transformers using flywheel motors

open access: yesZhejiang dianli
In the switching process of on-load tap changers (OLTCs) for distribution transformers, electric arcs are likely to occur at the contacts, which have an adverse impact on the service life and normal operation of the equipment.
