Computing the zero forcing number for generalized Petersen graphs

open access: yesJournal of Algebra Combinatorics Discrete Structures and Applications, 2020
Let $G$ be a simple undirected graph with each vertex colored either white or black, $ u $ be a black vertex of $ G, $ and exactly one neighbor $ v $ of $ u $ be white. Then change the color of $ v $ to black. When this rule is applied, we say $ u $ forces $ v, $ and write $ u \rightarrow v $. A $zero\ forcing\ set$ of a graph $ G$ is a subset $Z$

Validity of a Wearable Digital Insole for Assessing Gait ON and OFF in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Gait impairment is a distinctive symptom of Parkinson's disease that negatively impact mobility. We assessed the validity of wearable digital insoles against a validated reference gait analysis system for measuring select gait characteristics in patients with Parkinson's disease. Methods A comparative analysis between digital insoles

On the power domination number of the Cartesian product of graphs

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics, 2019
We give a brief survey about the existing results on the power domination of the Cartesian product of graphs, and improve two of the results by determining the exact power domination numbers of two families of graphs, namely, the cylinder Pn□Cmand the ...

The Zero Forcing Number of Twisted Hypercubes

open access: yes
Twisted hypercubes are graphs that generalize the structure of the hypercube by relaxing the symmetry constraint while maintaining degree-regularity and connectivity. We study the zero forcing number of twisted hypercubes. Zero forcing is a graph infection process in which a particular colour change rule is iteratively applied to the graph and an ...

Remarkable Recovery After Delayed High‐Dose Methylprednisolone in a Rare Case of Penetrating Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Traumatic spinal cord injury (TSCI) caused by sharp‐force penetration is exceptionally rare, and the use of high‐dose methylprednisolone (MP) remains highly controversial, especially beyond the conventional 8‐h treatment window. This case report describes a 30‐year‐old male with acute incomplete TSCI following a knife stab wound to the right ...

On the spectral distribution of kinetic energy in large-scale atmospheric flow [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Processes in Geophysics, 1998
A one-dimensional form of the equation of motion with forcing and dissipation is formulated in the spectral domain and used to make long term integrations from which the spectral distribution of the kinetic energy is determined The forcing in the wave ...

Zero forcing number versus general position number in tree-like graphs

open access: yes, 2021
Let ${\rm Z}(G)$ and ${\rm gp}(G)$ be the zero forcing number and the general position number of a graph $G$, respectively. Known results imply that ${\rm gp}(T)\ge {\rm Z}(T) + 1$ holds for every nontrivial tree $T$. It is proved that the result extends to block graphs. For connected, unicyclic graphs $G$ it is proved that ${\rm gp}(G) \ge {\rm Z}(G)$.

Biopsychosocial determinants of hand function and its trajectories over five years in patients with hand osteoarthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objectives This study aimed to investigate hand function trajectories over 5 years in primary hand osteoarthritis. Additionally, determinants of baseline and longitudinal hand function were assessed. Methods 538 patients with both baseline and 5‐year study visits were analyzed.
