Performance analysis of joint transmit antenna selection and user scheduling for massive MIMO systems

open access: yesCogent Engineering, 2021
To alleviate the problem of hardware complexity, energy wastage and increased cost of deployment in massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system, joint antenna selection and user scheduling (JASUS) algorithms are proposed which reduce the ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Failed Skew Zero Forcing Numbers of Path Powers and Circulant Graphs

open access: yesAppliedMath
For a graph G, the zero forcing number of G, Z(G), is defined to be the minimum cardinality of a set S of vertices for which repeated applications of the forcing rule results in all vertices being in S. The forcing rule is as follows: if a vertex v is in

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Hands‐on protocol for preparing water‐soluble fractions from agri‐food samples for NMR‐based metabolomics analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol outlines a workflow for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)‐based metabolomics in the agri‐food sector. Using two case studies—strawberry leaves (solid matrix) and wine (liquid matrix)—it details the procedures for sample preparation, data acquisition, and processing.

Detection Algorithms for Molecular MIMO

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we propose a novel design for molecular communication in which both the transmitter and the receiver have, in a 3-dimensional environment, multiple bulges (in RF communication this corresponds to antenna). The proposed system consists of a

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Parameterization of sea-salt optical properties and physics of the associated radiative forcing [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2008
The optical properties of sea-salt aerosol have been parameterized at shortwave and longwave wavelengths. The optical properties were parameterized in a simple functional form in terms of the ambient relative humidity based on Mie optical property ...
