A chiral photodetector capable of selectively distinguishing left‐ and right‐handed circularly polarized light is experimentally demonstrated. The device, which features a nanopatterned electrode inverse‐designed by a genetic algorithm within a metal–dielectric–metal nanocavity that incorporates a vacuum‐deposited small‐molecule multilayer, exhibits ...

A classical statistical model for distributions of escape events in swept-bias Josephson junctions
We have developed a model for experiments in which the bias current applied to a Josephson junction is slowly increased from zero until the junction switches from its superconducting zero-voltage state, and the bias value at which this occurs is recorded.

Infrared Nanocrystals for Space Application: Hardness to Irradiations
This article investigates infrared HgTe nanocrystals under X‐ray and ion irradiation, revealing remarkable radiation hardness. It uncovers distinct degradation mechanisms and shows that the nanomaterial outperforms integrated electronics. The results position colloidal nanocrystals as promising candidates for resilient space and harsh‐environment ...

Efficient high step‐down converter with soft switching and minimal components
This paper presents a novel two‐switch high step‐down converter based on the conventional Ćuk converter. The proposed converter features lower gain and higher efficiency due to reduced switching and conduction losses.

Meta‐Rod Mechanical Metamaterials With Programmable Reconfiguration
Existing mechanical metamaterials achieve programmable large deformations in planar square or cubic configurations, restricted by required complex boundary conditions. This research proposes a 1D metamaterial, Meta‐rod, with linear, bending, twisting, area, and volume deformation modes.

A New Fully Soft‐Switching High Step‐Up Interleaved Converter for Optimal Efficiency
A novel fully soft‐switching interleaved high step‐up converter is introduced in this paper. The suggested converter achieves high voltage gain using coupled inductors (CI) and a voltage multiplier cell (VMC).

Ferroelectricity in Antiferromagnetic Wurtzite Nitrides
We establish MnSiN2${\rm MnSiN}_2$ and MnGeN2${\rm MnGeN}_2$ as aristotypes of a new multiferroic wurtzite family that simultaneously exhibits ferroelectricity and antiferromagnetism with altermagnetic spin splitting. By strategically substituting alkaline‐earth metals, we predict new materials with coexisting switchable polarization, spin texture, and

Zero-Voltage and Zero-Current Switching Buck-Boost Converter for PV Applications [PDF]
A ZVS and ZCS buck boost converter is presented for PV panel applications. The salient points are that all the switching devices are under zero-current switching during turn-on and zero-voltage switching during turn-off.
