A Research on a Certain Family of Numbers and Polynomials Related to Stirling Numbers, Central Factorial Numbers, and Euler Numbers

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
Recently, many mathematicians have studied different kinds of the Euler, Bernoulli, and Genocchi numbers and polynomials. In this paper, we give another definition of polynomials Ũn(x).

An exciting Approach to Theoretical Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Theoretical spectroscopy, and more generally, electronic‐structure theory, are powerful concepts for describing the complex many‐body interactions in materials. They cover methods from ground‐state properties to lattice excitations and light‐matter interaction, including time‐resolved variants.

Hardware‐Attentive Programmable Fourier Ptychography Enables Task‐Adaptive Label‐Free Virtual Staining

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Task‐adaptive programmable optics enables label‐free virtual staining through optical‐attention‐guided acquisition and reconstruction. By optimizing wavelength, illumination angle, exposure time, and imaging depth, the framework learns task‐relevant optical measurements, generating clinically interpretable virtual stains with improved fidelity, non ...

Differential equations associated with generalized Bell polynomials and their zeros

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2016
In this paper, we study differential equations arising from the generating functions of the generalized Bell polynomials. We give explicit identities for the generalized Bell polynomials.

On Integral Zeros of Krawtchouk Polynomials

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Theory, Series A, 1996
The (binary) Krawtchouk polynomials \(P^n_k (x)\) are defined by \(\sum_{k = 0}^\infty P^k_n (x) z^k = (1 - z)^x (1 + z)^{n - x}\). The existence, respectively nonexistence, of integer roots of \(P^n_k (x)\) is of relevance in a number of different problems, like graph reconstruction problems or existence problems for codes.

A Smart Fluid‐Hydraulic System Based on MRF Valve Control and Its Application in Flexible Grasping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a smart fluid hydraulic system using MRF valve control for flexible gripping. An MRF‐MSV with an integrated excitation coil and micro‐textured damping channels is designed and validated; micro‐texturing increases hydraulic resistance. Coupled with a soft actuator, the MRF‐MSV enables dynamic bending and grasping.

Generalized Pseudospectral Method and Zeros of Orthogonal Polynomials

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2018
Via a generalization of the pseudospectral method for numerical solution of differential equations, a family of nonlinear algebraic identities satisfied by the zeros of a wide class of orthogonal polynomials is derived.

A Generative Neuro‐Symbolic AI for Protein Sequence Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce EffieDes, a neuro‐symbolic framework coupling deep learning‐based fitness landscape parameterization with exact automated reasoning. Unlike greedy sampling, EffieDes identifies sequences that globally optimize fitness while satisfying intricate design constraints.

Tridiagonal Operators and Zeros of Polynomials in Two Variables

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2016
The aim of this paper is to connect the zeros of polynomials in two variables with the eigenvalues of a self-adjoint operator. This is done by use of a functional-analytic method.
