Phase Diagrams and Piezoelectric Properties of Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN Heterostructural Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates ferroelectricity and piezoelectric properties improvement of quaternary wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films, guided by density functional theory calculations. Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films have a high optical bandgap, enhanced piezoelectric ...

On the Extreme Zeros of Jacobi Polynomials

open access: yes, 2023
By applying the Euler--Rayleigh methods to a specific representation of the Jacobi polynomials as hypergeometric functions, we obtain new bounds for their largest zeros. In particular, we derive upper and lower bound for $1-x_{nn}^2(λ)$, with $x_{nn}(λ)$ being the largest zero of the $n$-th ultraspherical polynomial $P_n^{(λ)}$.

Enhancing Maturation of Human Neuromuscular Organoids via Electrical Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A framework for on‐demand and non‐invasive exposure of human neuromuscular organoids (NMOs) to electrical stimuli is established to promote their maturation. The robustness and effectiveness of different stimulation regimes are evaluated via thorough characterization of organoid tissue structure and contraction capacity. Chronic electrical stimulation,

Exploring the q-Riemann zeta function and q-Bernoulli polynomials

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2005
We study that the q-Bernoulli polynomials, which were constructed by Kim, are analytic continued to βs(z). A new formula for the q-Riemann zeta function ζq(s) due to Kim in terms of nested series of ζq(n) is derived.

On the Behaviour of Zeros of Jacobi Polynomials

open access: yesJournal of Approximation Theory, 2002
Denoting by \(x_{n,k}(\alpha,\beta)\) and \(x_{n,k}(\lambda)= x_{n,k} (\lambda-1/2, \lambda-1/2)\) the zeros, in decreasing order, of the Jacobi polynomial \(P_n^{(\alpha,\beta)} (x)\) and of the ultraspherical (or Gegenbauer) polynomial \(C_n^\lambda(x)\), respectively, the authors investigate the monotonicity of \(x_{n,k}(\alpha,\beta)\) as functions

SPADE: A Deep Learning Framework for Spatial Mapping and Quantitative Cell–Cell Interaction Inference

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SPADE integrates spatial transcriptomics with single‐cell RNA sequencing by using cell–cell communications (CCC) as a guide for spatial mapping. It improves cell‐type localization, enhances sparse gene‐expression signals, and reveals CCC programs at single‐spot resolution.

Interacting Parallel Fluidic Hysterons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The parallel coupling of fluidic hysterons is introduced, establishing advanced functionalities in inflatable soft systems. A pressure–volume framework reveals how preset volumes Δv∗${\Delta }v^*$ tune nonlinear interactions between hysterons and actuation sequences without changing architecture. Experiments validate the predictions, opening new routes
