Effect of zinc acetate concentration and spinning voltage on the fiber diameter of electrospun zinc oxide (ZnO) nanofibers .

open access: yes, 2011
Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanolibers were fabricated via electrospinning using zinc acetate and polyvinyl acetate (PVA) as sol-gel precursor. The concentration of the precursor was varied by changing the mass of zinc acetate in the PVA solution.

Synthesis of Ladder and Flexible Polysulfonimides Directly From Anionic Monomers: Investigating Structure–Property Convergence in Succinonitrile–Polymer Electrolyte Blends

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Direct synthesis of sulfonimide‐based polymers of intrinsic microporosity enables comparison with compositionally similar flexible analogs. Incorporation of a common pore‐filling transport medium drives these fundamentally different polymer architectures toward similar bulk conductivity and mechanical properties while revealing distinct microscopic ion‐

Cost‐Effective Ti/Al/Ni Multilayer Neural Probes With In Vivo Recording Performance Comparable to Ti/Au Neural Probes

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a cost‐efficient neural probe by replacing traditional gold with an aluminum‐based Ti/Al/Ni multilayer stack. Optimizing this metal architecture suppressed oxidation and ensured robust electrical stability, achieving signal quality comparable to standard gold probes. It enables a highly accessible and economical solution for

Oxygen‐Tolerant, Controlled Synthesis of Degradable and Water‐Soluble Poly(Vinyl Amide)s via Radical Ring‐Opening Copolymerization of Cyclic Dithiothreitol

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tolerant photoinduced electron/energy transfer reversible addition–fragmentation chain transfer (PET‐RAFT) polymerization enables the controlled radical ring‐opening (rROP) copolymerization of cyclic dithiothreitol (cDTT) with less‐activated vinyl monomers, affording degradable polymers with predictable molecular weights, low dispersities, and ...

Pairing Non‐Fullerene Acceptors With the Right Polymer: Impact of Phase Morphology and Short‐Range Transport on Charge Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates polymer requirements for pairing with high‐efficiency non‐fullerene acceptors (NFA) in organic photovoltaics by comparing three polymer blends across varied phase morphologies. The generation of free charges is driven by fast transport‐assisted charge separation combined with slow intrinsic recombination.
