From Materials to Systems: Challenges and Solutions for Fast‐Charge/Discharge Na‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review systematically analyzes the key characteristics limiting the fast‐charge/discharge capability of Na‐ion batteries (SIBs) from a multi‐scale perspective encompassing electrode materials, the electrode‐electrolyte interface, and the system. Furthermore, it presents practical solution strategies for the fundamental issues arising at each scale,

Safety of Sodium‐Ion Batteries: Evaluation and Perspective from Component Materials to Cells, Modules, and Packs

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review provides a bottom‐up evaluation of sodium‐ion battery safety, linking material degradation mechanisms, cell engineering parameters, and module/pack assembly. It emphasizes that understanding intrinsic material stability and establishing coordinated engineering control across hierarchical levels are vital for preventing degradation coupling ...

Ion-retention properties of graphene oxide/zinc oxide nanocomposite membranes at various pH and temperature conditions

open access: yesScientific Reports
Laminar graphene oxide (GO) is a promising candidate material for next-generation highly water-permeable membranes. Despite extensive research, there is little information known concerning GO's ion-sieving properties at high acidic/basic pH and ...

Separating Hydrogen Evolution From Electroplating in Zn Metal Batteries Using Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Operando SECM decouples hydrogen evolution from other degradation pathways in Zn metal batteries by quantifying its contribution during Zn electrodeposition. Although HER is shown to account for only a minor fraction of the irreversible charge loss, it remains a key indicator of interfacial evolution and by‐product formation governing cycling ...

Zn-Conjugated Graphene Oxide Nanoparticle–Mediated Inhibition of Human Islet Amyloid Polypeptide (hIAPP) Amyloid Formation: Their Synergistic Effects

open access: yesIET Nanobiotechnology
Human islet amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP) oligomers, formed through an accumulation pathway, are toxic to insulin-secreting pancreatic β-cells and are considered to contribute for β-cell death and insulin deficiency commonly observed in type 2 diabetes ...

Clindamycin phospate-zinc acetate versus clindamycin phosphate-zinc acetate + adapalene in the treatment of mild to moderate acne. Results of a multicentre, randomized, retrospective, sponsor-free study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Introduction: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the efficacy and the response in patients with mild to moderate acne of a clindamycin phosphate-zinc acetate topical therapy in comparison with clindamycin phosphate-zinc acetate plus adapalene.

Redox‐Modulated σ‐Bond Reactivity in a Radical‐Anion Dimer

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 44, 26 October 2026.
A radialene‐based radical anion σ‐dimer comprising an elongated C‐C bond exhibits orthogonal stimuli responsiveness. Homolytic cleavage of the dimer to the radical state is triggered by mechanical strain and high temperature. Dimer scission is also achieved via oxidation, resulting in formation of neutral radialenes.

Activation of Metal Complexes With Ultrasound Waves for Targeted Anticancer Therapy

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Ultrasound enables non‐invasive activation of metal‐based therapeutics deep within tumors. Acoustic cavitation can drive sonodynamic reactive oxygen species generation or mechanochemical metal–ligand bond dissociation, enabling controlled release of bioactive payloads.

Click‐to‐Release Reactivity of Quaternary Anilinium Tetrazines Enables Cascade Assembly of Multifunctional Biomolecular Scaffolds

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Click chemistry has evolved from making covalent connections to also breaking bonds. Here, a cascade assembly is reported that combines these maneuvers to build multifunctional biomolecular scaffolds in a modular one‐pot reaction. The unifying azide release‐tetrazine hub clicks with a trans‐cyclooctene tag, rapidly liberates N,N‐dimethylaniline to ...
